Spring has arrived and what can be more fun than seeing your kids run around with their face painted, getting photos with the Easter bunny and filling their baskets and bellies with chocolate and other sweet treats to their heart’s content. Whether you want to enjoy a nice Sunday brunch or spend the day at the zoo this Easter, there are many options to choose from. Friday Events: April 6th
Spend some time enjoying the amazing animals at the LA Zoo and check out the Big Bunny’s Spring Fling event starting on Friday through Sunday. This Easter event is free to GLAZA members and with paid Zoo admission. They will feature many fun activities including getting close with a fuzzy bunny, planting your own carrot, face painting, craft activities, music and a chance to take a photo with Big Bunny. Check out this unique event at the Home Depot Center. The Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation and The Home Depot Center Charitable Foundation will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Friday at 1p.m., for children ages 1-10. The kids will enjoy running around on the soccer field, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and appearances from the LA Galaxy mascot Cozmo and Galaxy players. Saturday Events: April 7th
For a change of scenery, check out the Easter Egg Hunt at Los Encinos State Historic Park. This event is free and in addition to the Egg Hunts for children up to 10 years old, they will feature traditional games, a blacksmith, old-time music, tours of the historic adobe and performers in period costume. Residents in the South Bay, come and check out the Easter Egg Hunt at William Green Park in Lawndale. There will be Easter Egg Hunts for children of all ages, crafts, and pictures with the Easter Bunny. All hunts begin at 10am and don’t forget your basket. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience and family fun, check out the Easter Sunday Brunch Buffet at Café Sierra in the Hilton Hotel in Universal City. They will have two Easter Sunday Brunch buffets located at Café Sierra and also in the Ballroom. Café Sierra champagne brunch will be from 10am to 4p.m., featuring Easter egg baskets, an egg hunt and Marionette show for the kids. Even though Easter holiday might have passed, the fun doesn’t have to end there. Check out the Discovery Hour Easter egg hunt at the Peterson Automotive Museum. They host an interactive weekly activity for families with children under 6 years old. This event will be held from 10a.m-11 a.m. on the 3rd floor Discovery Center.
