It is a tradition each year; The Spartanburg Community Band will have a free concert at USC Upstate in the Rose Terrace and Upper Quad from 7p.m.-9p.m. The Spartanburg Community Band is made up of dedicated and talented volunteers in the community.
The Memorial Day concert will be dedicated to Fallen Veterans as well as those serving in the Military today. At the concert, you will be entertained by patriotic music, presentation of the color guard, the playing of Taps, and flags passed out to the kids in attendance.
Tips before you attend: It is a good idea to take a lawn, lounge, or blanket so you can sit and be comfortable. Take an umbrella in the event of shower or thunderstorm pops-up. Dogs are allowed if they are leashed. You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy during the concert. Also, an ice-cream truck is usually on site, so bring some money for a cool treat! This is a family friendly event so gather the whole family and your friends and head out to this entertaining event!
