4 Essential Accessories for Your iPad Mini

by pop tug

The iPad Mini is now out and with it an abundance of useful accessories to use with it. Not only are there plenty of new accessories and gadgets made specifically for the iPad Mini, but because of its size and design it can also use a lot of iPhone and iPod Touch accessories as well.

With so many accessories to choose from, how can you be sure which ones are worth the money? In this article I have put together a list of what I believe are the 4 most useful accessories for your iPad Mini.

Apple 12-Watt Power Adapter
Because of how powerful the hardware is inside your iPad Mini it can take quite a while to charge with the default power adapter. This is why I recommend picking up a new 12-watt power adapter when you buy your iPad Mini.

Having a power adapter with more wattage means it can charge your iPad Mini much quicker than the default power adapter, and for only $19 at the Apple store it’s pretty cheap for how much time you’ll save.

LumaGuard
Obviously you want to make sure your iPad Mini is protected to keep it looking new and scratch free. To do this you need a good case or skin to cover your iPad Mini.

Not only does the LumaGuard do a great job at keeping your iPad Mini scratch free, but it’s also very stylish and at $24 is cheaper than many other alternatives. LumaGuards come in a large variety of colors to choose from, and since it’s a skin rather than a case, it offers 24/7 protection of your iPad Mini.

ZAGGKeys Mini 7
At $90 the ZAGGKeys Mini 7 is the most expensive accessory in this list, but is arguably the most useful.

Even though the iPad Mini’s on-screen keyboard is better than many other tablets, it still doesn’t compare to the comfort of having an actual keyboard to type with.

Although Apple does sell their own Bluetooth keyboards, what makes the ZAGGKeys Mini 7 unique is that it also serves the dual-function of being a case for your iPad Mini as well. This coupled with how responsive and durable the keys are make the ZAGGKeys Mini 7 an excellent choice if you’re needing a physical keyboard for your iPad Mini.

Boxwave Bamboo Stand
Sometimes the best accessories are the most simple, and that’s exactly what the Boxwave Bamboo Stand is, a simple but elegant-looking stand for your iPad Mini.

At $20 the Boxwave Bamboo Stand is not only cheap, but it’s durable and incredibly easy to assemble, with only 2 pieces that slide together.

If you just want a nice stand for your iPad Mini, then I highly recommend the Boxwave Bamboo Stand. However, if you don’t want something so simple and need a stand that serves other purposes (Such as charging the iPad Mini) then you’ll want to stay away from this.
