Trying to make Florida feel like winter is a pretty hard task, especially when you are up against warm weather and lots of sunshine. However, there are some venues that seem to do a pretty good job in replicating the winter holiday and that includes ice skating with the family. Below are four great places to entertain your family on the ice.
1. RDV Sportsplex

This ice arena is one of the largest in central Florida next to the Ice Factory. The are opened seven days a week. The ice rink is located in Altamonte Springs, Florida. A fifteen minute drive from downtown Orlando. Admission for regular ice skating sessions is $6.71 plus tax. Admission for Friday and Saturday night skate sessions is $9.53 plus tax. 2. Annual Town Center Ice Rinks
Winter Park Town Center
Every winter season brings out an ice skating ring display in both of these quaint little towns. The Winter Park ice rink has real ice for you to skate around with your family. It is located in front of the post office in downtown Winterpark near the Central Park on the corner of Morse Blvd. and New York Avenue from November 16, 2012 to January 6, 2012. Town Center of Celebration
The small Disney town, “Celebration” offers an annual plastic rink on a much smaller scale. It is great for children. The rink is opened daily from 4 pm to 10 pm now through January 2, 2013. The prices are $10.00 for a 1/2 hour minimum skate (skate rental included). This quaint town also has other types of things to do for the winter season such as daily snow (made out of foaming bubbles), carolers, performers, photos with Santa, horse drawn carriage rides, and a train to ride. 3. Ice Factory

If you live in Kissimmee or visiting the attractions, you may want to check out the Ice Factory located in downtown Kissimmee, Florida. This venue offers daily public skating. The cost is $7.00 for admission and if you need to rent some skates, it will be an additional $3.00. They also offer skate aids which is like a walker to help children 10 and under learn how to skate without falling. They are rented for an additional $3.00.
