5 Fun and Easy Ways to Express Love to Your Child

by pop tug

There are never enough ways to show your child how much you love them; a child grows up so fast and as a parent, your endless love is the most precious gift you can give to your child.

Kids need to know and should know how much they are loved; it is imperative to a child’s physical and emotional health and well-being to feel loved and cared for even when parents are really busy in their own lives working, running errands and the millions other things parents have going on.

There are easy and fun ways to show your child that you are thinking about them all hours of the day and they are always loved even when you are busy and on the run. Here you will find 5 fun and easy ways to express love to your child:

Notes in lunchbox

Slipping an “I love you” note along with a little message is a fun and easy way to show your child that he or she is loved. Kids enjoy getting notes, plus this is a great way to get kids to read and possibly want to write a note back! If your child does not take lunch to school, try slipping the note into your child’s coat pocket. No matter where the note is placed, the element of surprise will still be a part of this loving expression.

Hugs and kisses everyday

When a child wakes up in the morning, a kiss from a parent is a great way to start the day. When a child goes to bed, a kiss from a parent is also a great way to end his or her day. The simple act of a kiss from a parent can make all the difference for a child, plus once a habit of morning and nighttime kisses is in place, your child will expect those sweet moments of affection from you, a parent can help to make those special memories that last a lifetime.

Give your heart

You give your heart every day to your child, but when your child has something tactile to hold onto, the idea of giving your heart takes on a whole different meaning. By simply cutting out a heart shape from felt, fabric or even paper and giving it to your child and explaining he or she has your heart all the time-your child will have something tangible to hold onto and will be an item your child holds near and dear to his or her heart.

Read “love” themed books

Pick one night a week during reading time at home, that you and your child only read some type of “love” themed books. There are so many books about love and Valentine’s Day that you should not have a problem locating books. Searching for “love” themed books can also be a separate fun and easy activity for you and your child to do together.

Give a reason a day

Give your child at least one reason everyday why you love he or she so much! It will make your child feel so good about him or herself and your child will feel how much you love them. A child enjoys hearing reasons why they are loved and when a child is told every day why he or she is loved so much, they will want to keep hearing it. If you forget-believe me; your child will remind you to continue with this easy and fun activity.

Expressing your love to your child does not have to cost anything nor does it have to take a tremendous amount of time. It is those little loving things that parents do for their children that bring the most meaning for kids.
