You and your royal pet are cordially invited to attend the coronation of El Rey Fido after which you will both be treated to complimentary beverages and snacks! April 21, 2012 is for families on the San Antonio River Walk during the Ford Children’s Festival! Slip on your walking shoes and don’t forget to grab your camera because this event is sure to be memorable! Upon arriving at the Rivercenter Mall (849 E Commerce St.), families will be enveloped with live entertainment, face painting, moon bounce, games and interaction with mascots all while surrounded by the beauty of the San Antonio River Walk! Also on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 10am to 6pm (Parade at Noon), is Fiesta de los Niños! Located at Port San Antonio (200 Donald Goodrich Rd.) Fiesta de los Niños provides a safe, exciting atmosphere for children and adults to enjoy rides, delicious refreshments, games, and entertainment. Attendees will enjoy a parade at noon which features talented middle school bands, community groups, Port San Antonio employees, a SAFD fire truck and more! Heralded as the “Queen of the Missions” and long recognized as a center for social and cultural exchange, San Jose Mission is the ideal location for a family- oriented festival. Bring a lawn chair, but leave food and beverages at home because San Jose Mission Fest offers a myriad of food and entertainment. On Sunday, April 29, 2012, you can keep the kids busy at the Children’s Corner with arts and crafts and everyone can enjoy an integrated performance by the Grammy-winning Texmaniacs, Rick Trevino and Los Lobos!
