The astrology of the last-quarter moon phase on Thursday represents a time to focus on details and finish anything that began during the first-quarter moon. Sometimes I’ve found that projects caste to the wayside are also easy to finish even though procrastination may have created a large time lag. This phase often brings diminished energy. Don’t set expectations too high. Take time for rest and relaxation. Moon sign lore has it that this is a good time for setting fence posts.
Retrospect View of Recent Moon Sign Forecasts
The moon sign astrology of similar weekend patterns is moving to a different synchronicity. Two more weekends of this anomaly mark the conclusion of the trend. The cardinal sign trend started mid-January and brought the four “modes” into perfect cadence with our Gregorian calendar weekends.
The below listed cardinal signs take command in different ways.
Libra – relating and arranging
Cancer – managing and nurturing
Capricorn – responsibility and work
Aries – focus and action
Two weekends favored tackling projects, (ambitious or otherwise) alternated with two focusing more on pleasures and warm snuggles.
A Peek at the Planets
The Mercury in Pisces retrograde period is finished, technically, as of last week, but the energy lags in the atmosphere for a while. My experience with this retrograde Mercury transit was terrible writer’s block. The ideas were there, but awkward sentences hailed out of nowhere. Mercury joining Pisces brings an atmosphere where a sensitive, dreamy, and poetic point of view thrives. This transit lasts until mid-month when Mercury/Aries brings its intellectual and focused idealism to the mix.
Gardening: The last-quarter moon is better for getting rid of unwanted growth than it is for new planting. As changes are gradual, some of the last quarter energy laps over on either side of the actual day noted. Suggested crops are bulbs, or tubers – plants that grow mostly under ground. Best gardening moon signs this week are Scorpio (regenerative, and fertile,) Capricorn (an earth sign.) See listing below. For more tips see more on how this works.:

Thinking about a midweek travel activity? These are good days for travel, writing, and communication. Candor is better accepted during a Sag influence. Ask for a favor.

Last Quarter Moon on Friday
A diplomatic but serious mindset rules with Capricorn. Likewise, the same influence doesn’t really favor light-hearted activities. Balance checkbook, or take care of a dreaded task. Excellent day for finishing, or winding up a project.
