Sia is an singer and songwriter from Australia who possesses a beautifully haunting voice. Her songs are unique, emotional, dramatic, and like nothing I’ve ever heard before. There is a strange sadness about her voice, and the lyrics to her songs are poetic and deep. I first discovered Sia’s music three years ago, and I have been a die hard fan ever since. Here is a look at five amazing examples of Sia’s melodic genius and why she is poised for a lifetime of success.
“My Love”
One of the most beautiful songs by Sia is “My Love.” “My Love” was featured in the wildly popular film “Eclipse” from the “Twilight” series. The song is extraordinarily beautiful, with amazing vocals from Sia, a haunting melody, and lyrics that tug firmly on the heartstrings. “My Love” is a most impressive achievement for the Aussie singer.
“Breathe Me”
“Breathe Me” is the first song I ever heard by Sia, and upon first listen I was in awe. “Breathe Me” is quite possibly the most beautiful sad song I have ever heard. The song’s melancholy feel truly hit home for me, and the emotional depth could be felt straight to my core. Then when I couldn’t get enough of the song, I searched for the music video online and I was blown away. No other songs can come close to “Breathe Me.”
“Soon We’ll Be Found”
“Soon We’ll Be Found” is another wonderful song by Sia. This song possesses a strange sadness to it, but it is lovely all the same. The lyrics show just how poetic Sia is, while her vocals display her passion for music and prowess for entertainment. Few artists come close to delivering a performance quite as passionate and powerful as Sia can.
“Lullaby”
One of the loveliest songs I have heard in quite some time is “Lullaby” by Sia. The song’s melody is mellow and relaxing, allowing Sia’s voice to take control. The lyrics are expressive and emotional, while Sia’s vocal quality is simply stunning. “Lullaby” gives a glimpse at Sia’s stunning lower octave range, and I was impressed immediately.
“Titanium”
Another great song by Sia is “Titanium” which she features in with David Guetta. Sia’s beautiful voice takes center stage in this upbeat track with techno undertones. This song is a perfect example of how diverse Sia is, and just how amazingly talented she is. For added entertainment value check out the music video to “Titanium,” it’s definitely worth a look.
