A lot of you probably said “good riddance” upon seeing that Bachelor Sean Lowe finally sent Tierra home this past episode. The accidents (which may not have been all real), the drama, the crying and the fake crying, the refusal to get along with the other girls, the thinking too highly of herself, the uncontrollable eyebrow, etc, was more than enough to drive us viewers crazy ever since Sean’s season began. We understand that she was there to meet and possibly get Sean, however, not being cordial to the other girls was a bad sign. No girl will know until the end whether she gets chosen as Sean’s final one, so why not at least make a few friends during the course of the show. Oftentimes friendships last longer than relationships and it wouldn’t have hurt Tierra to make an effort to be nice to the other girls.
We’re not going to spend the rest of the article talking about friendships, though. Tierra had a lot of nerve to insult AshLee by calling her a “cougar” and telling her that she’ll have her family set by the time she’s AshLee’s age. Tierra is 24 and AshLee is 32. Just because AshLee is in her 30s does not make her a cougar. I think that Sean is 29 and a 3 year age gap does not qualify one to be a cougar. What’s also insulting is that as many times as someone can say “I’m going to get married at 25 and have two kids by age 30,” it doesn’t always work that way. Just because you are ready to get married at a certain age doesn’t mean your significant other is. Just because you say you’re going to have two kids doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. Life doesn’t always go according to plan.
It’s been reported online that Tierra got engaged after she left the show. Maybe Tierra’s dream of having her family set by age 32 will come true. Or maybe she’ll be divorced or be a single mom at that age. Who knows? Getting married and having kids should not be a race for anyone. In this particular situation though, AshLee actually “beat” Tierra to the altar by getting married at age 17. It was a short marriage nonetheless, but she got married before Tierra did. Tierra needs to learn that things in life just don’t happen at the push of a button. If Tierra goes through life trying to get her way all the time, someone (whether it’s her fiancé or someone else) won’t be putting up with that for long.
Tierra probably won’t resurface until the Women Tell All episode so thank goodness our time won’t be wasted watching her antics until then. Sean should have let her go sooner but at least he finally saw her true colors. She embarrassed herself by behaving badly and insulting the others. There is nothing wrong with being single and childless at 32 and don’t let some immature 24 year old tell you otherwise. If AshLee wants to get married and have a family, she is still young enough to do so. Let’s see how the rest of the season plays out without Tierra’s drama.
