Batman Versus Spiderman – Who Wins in a Fight?

by pop tug

Spiderman’s senses tingle when danger is near. Batman is always seeking to defend Gotham City. Both of these superheroes fight to keep evil at bay. If these two guys met and decided to engage in a fight, it would be interesting to see how things turn out. To have an idea of who will win the fight, let’s compare the abilities and powers of both Batman and Spiderman.

Weapons
When we look at who has the most weapons, it appears that Batman is in the lead here. Batman has gas bombs, batarangs and explosives at his disposal. Spiderman has only web shooters and spider tracers. Batman can easy defeat villains with his weapons, whereas Spiderman will have to merely fight like a man and use his fists. If the fight were merely based on who had the better weapons, Batman would win without a doubt.

Fighting style
Spiderman possesses outstanding strength, flexibility and super-agility, a combination that allows him to have a fighting style that most superheroes cannot imitate. If the two superheroes were being judged on fighting prowess and strength, Spiderman would easily defeat Batman. As a matter of fact, the defeat would take very little effort.

Sidekick
We all know that Batman’s famous sidekick is Robin, a lesser version of Batman. We also know that just about all of the Robins are shaped into eventually becoming the next Batman. Spiderman does not have a sidekick and has never expressed any interest in having one. He fights his battles on his own. If the fight depended on having a sidekick, Spiderman would undoubtedly lose. Not to mention, it is always better to have someone to watch out for you in a fight, rather than trying to go it on your own. Evidently, Batman knows this, hence the reason he enlists the help of his sidekick on a routine basis.

Intelligence
Batman is thought to be intelligent because he has a good mind for resourcefulness. However, that is as far as his intelligence goes. Spiderman, on the other hand, is a true genius. Spiderman is a chemist, a physicist and an engineer. If the fight had to be based on who has the most intelligence, Spiderman would beat Batman hands down.

Enemies
When we look at each superhero’s enemies, we can see that Spiderman has enemies who want to cause him physical harm, and Batman has enemies who like to test morals and cause psychological harm. Batman can easily defeat Spiderman’s enemies using his mind as well as defeat his own. This again makes Batman a winner.

And The Winner Is …
When looking at the strengths and weaknesses of both of these superheroes, it is easy to see who will be the overall winner. Batman will defeat Spiderman without having to fight him physically. All Batman has to do is find where Peter Parker lives, take his gear and is costume, and then blackmail Parker into submitting to him. For Batman, it is really that simple. Just imagine, though, if there were Batman and Spiderman cross overs. Such a mix would defeat every superheroes that ever walked because there would be an unbelievable combination of strengths and abilities that would allow this breed to face any type of enemy and win.

I used a lot of information about these two guys from Batman Blog and Spiderman Beginnings.
