My hair and I have had an ongoing battle for years. I have naturally curly hair, but I occasionally straighten it and wear it up and down. It gets frizzy whether it’s straight or curly, gets wavy when I attempt to straighten it on a humid or rainy day and what’s worse is that my straight bangs turn into little curls across my forehead at the slightest hint of moisture. I recently had the chance to try a variety of Borghese hair products and while I was hopeful, I didn’t really expect anything good considering all the other different brands and products I’ve tried before that delivered sub par results. So are the Borghese hair products worth it?
Borghese Modena Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner
The shampoo and conditioner have a wonderful scent and every time I use it, I have people telling me how great my hair smells. The best part is that it did great things for the condition of my hair. Whether I straightened it or left it curly, the shampoo and conditioner significantly diminished the frizziness of my hair to the point where I barely needed styling products. They cost $10 – $13 for each bottle.
Borghese Capri Style In Conditioner
Ever since I started using the style in conditioner, my hair has become much more sleek and frizz-free after I straighten it. The product includes sunflower and green tea extracts which is said to moisturize hair, and I believe it after using this product. I use it twice a week right before I straighten my hair. It costs between $10 – $13 a bottle.
Borghese Siena Finishing Hairspray
The majority of hairsprays I’ve used in the past don’t work and it’s frustrating to shell out money for products that don’t keep my hair in place and leave my bangs curly when they’re supposed to be straight. The Borghese Siena Finishing Hairspray is a different story. I used it on my bangs on several occasions, and I was thrilled that my bangs stayed straight and held up throughout rainy and snowy weather. The hairspray costs between $12 – $15 a bottle.
Borghese Milan Volumizing Mousse
Usually when my hair is curly, the curls either go limp after a few hours or frizz out to the point where I look like I’m sporting clown hair. I use the Borghese Milan Volumizing Mousse and the curls stay intact and frizz-free. With other products I’ve used, the curls get weighed down and look greasy or have that awful “crispy” look, but this product definitely helps them look their best. It costs $12 – $15 each.
I’m genuinely pleased with these products. They’ve improved the look and feel of my hair and although the products cost a bit more than what I usually pay, I feel that they’re worth it and I’ll continue to use them.
