If you are a fan of Neopets Neggs then here are some of the absolute best to invest in. Even if the prices drop on them due to a seasonal promotion you can be guaranteed that they will rebound quickly. Some people have galleries dedicated just to Neggs and their collection of them; I thought about it but decided to go with a spooky theme. The prices on Neggs can change in an instant; if there is a site event that releases them or they are given away at Key Quest then the prices will drop on them but they will rebound. My personal favorites are the Halloween, spooky and seasonal Neggs but if there is a profit to be made on them, now or in the future, I will hoard them.
“Heart Shaped Negg” – Rarity Rating: 92 Description: “Extremely difficult to grow, these Neggs have to be shaped from little seedlings.” No doubt this will be a hot seller when Valentine’s Day rolls around at Neopets. Not only is it a unique looking Negg but it is a Food item so if you want to really spoil your pet you can buy one for them. There are only a couple of them on the Trading Post with the lowest price being 200K. Prices do change on them so if you are looking to get one, be sure to shop around.
“Ferocious Negg” – Rarity Rating: 101 – Description: “Watch out, this Negg bites!” I didn’t miss out on my chance to get one of the Ferocious Negg Tokens for Key Quest; that purchase also got me an “Angry Ferocious Negg”. If you want one of the evil edibles be prepared to spend about 200K, they do go up in price when Halloween rolls around though so be sure to buy them in the off season. You can purchase this Negg at The Neggery if you have 124 tokens.
“00 Negg” – Rarity Rating: 101 – Description: “A suave, sophisticated treat for the extra special NeoPet.” James Bond has nothing on this Negg. By far one of the most dashing edibles but its way too expensive for my taste.
“Super Negg” – Rarity Rating: 101 – Description: “Here he comes to save the day… Its Super Negg. Give this to your NeoPet and they will feel SUPER!” This is one super Negg, no, really, that’s not a joke. Clad in a Superman outfit, this makes for an excellent addition to any Negg themed gallery or a super sweet present for a Neofriend. You can purchase this Negg at The Neggery if you have 210 tokens.
“Lever of Doom Halloween Negg” – Rarity Rating: 101 – Description: “Who on Neopia would dedicate a negg to this infernal contraption?” This is another awesome Negg from the Halloween promotion. It has a great look and is worth 5 tokens if you choose to take it to The Neggery. Right now it is selling for about 35K on the Shop Wizard so you are better off keeping it until the stock wears thin and you can make a huge profit from it.
“Cog Halloween Negg” – Rarity Rating: 101 – Description: “This negg seems to be made out of solid brass.” If you want to trade this in at the Neggery you can get five tokens for it but it is worth a lot more if you sell it. This was part of the Halloween give away at the Apple Bobbing portal. While it is a food item that you can feed your pet it is something that is an awesome buy for a gallery. There are only a few cog themed items at the site that are worth collecting, this is one of them.
“Snowy Negg” – Rarity Rating: 87 – Description: “Perfect for a warm day, this negg is always cold.” The Snowy Negg was a great seller until it was added to the Key Quest prize rotation. When you redeem a key at The Vault you could get one of these during the Winter Starlight Celebration. This is a seasonal prize and the current price is about 1,100 NP; prices do drop when they are added as a prize for the Key Quest game and winter promotions.
“Happy Anniversary Negg” – Rarity Rating: 95 (ultra rare) – Description: “Happy anniversary to you!” This Negg makes for a great gift item as well as for Negg themed galleries. The average selling price for this right now is about 2 million NP (Neopoints). It restocks in the Neopian Fresh Foods shop but I have never, in all my years at the site, ever seen one of them show up when the shop refreshes.
“Faerie Queen Negg” – Rarity Rating: 107 – Description: “A magical negg, that can only be found at the Neopian Neggery. The Faerie Queen has blessed this Negg herself!” There are a lot of Neopet scams that happen with this specific Negg. While it does fetch a nice price on the Trading Post, you can stroll over to The Neggery and get one if you have a handful of tokens. You can purchase this Negg at The Neggery if you have 57 tokens.
“Spiked Negg” – Rarity Rating: 101 – Description: “Oohhh, this Negg looks very tough, I wonder what it does!” If you have 300-400K NP sitting around you can snag one of these off of the Trading Post, otherwise start saving up your Neggs to cash in and get one at The Neggery. You can purchase this Negg at The Neggery if you have 195 tokens.
“Pretty Purple Princess Negg” – Rarity Rating: 96 – Description: “Eating this negg will make you feel very pretty indeed.” Spoil your diva with one of these enchanting Neggs. There is a lot of detail to this one but you better have the NP to grab one if you see it selling for less than two million points. Yes, that is the bottom end of the price scale for this edible.
“Meerca Negg”- Rarity Rating: 101 – Description: “Awww… what a cute Negg… but how did it grow a tail?” This is an absolute must have Negg if you are a fan of the Meerca species. It is a nice looking edible that will retain its value no matter how other related Neggs are selling. Please be aware that there is a “Meerca Negg” and a “Red Meerca Negg”. When you are searching be sure to use the “exact item” option.
