In this Week 16 matchup, the Cincinnati Bengals (8-6) will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-7). One of the biggest games of the week with regards to the playoffs, the Bengals could claim a playoff spot and, at the same time, destroy the Steelers playoff chances with a win. Here’s a look at the injuries sustained by both teams for this Week 16 contest.
Out for Bengals: None
Out for Steelers: CB Ike Taylor (ankle)
Taylor broke his leg in Week 13 against the Baltimore Ravens and is scheduled to potentially return in Week 17. Keenan Lewis, Cortez Allen and Curtis Brown are the main players expected to play in his place.
Doubtful for Bengals: None
Doubtful for Steelers: T Mike Adams (ankle)
Adams will likely miss this start, which will cause some shuffling on the offensive line. Rookie Kelvin Beachum will start his fourth straight game and play alongside fellow rookie David Decastro, whose making the second start of his career.
Questionable for Bengals: CB Adam Jones (hamstring), CB Dre Kirkpatrick (head), K Mike Nugent (calf), RB Cedric Peerman (ankle)
Jones was a late addition to the injury report after being limited in the team’s last practice of the week. Peerman is the most likely player to miss this game for the Bengals, as he was limited in practice for three straight days, but will have a minimal role behind BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Brian Leonard.
Questionable for Steelers: None
Probable for Bengals: LB Vontaze Burfict (illness), DE Carlos Dunlap (illness), TE Clark Harris (not injury related), T Andre Smith (foot), T Andrew Whitworth (head)
Both Burfict and long snapper Harris sat out Friday’s practice but are expected to play. Both starting offensive tackles are also listed as probable and will be key in protecting quarterback Andy Dalton from the Steelers’ front seven on defense.
Probable for Steelers: CB Cortez Allen (groin), CB Curtis Brown (knee), LB James Harrison (illness), DE Cameron Heyward (not injury related), CB Keenan Lewis (hip), S Troy Polamalu (not injury related), C Maurkice Pouncey (illness), WR Emmanuel Sanders (rib), DE Al Woods (illness)
Despite missing practice this week, Lewis will play. This is especially good news given Taylor’s injury. The rest of the players listed as probable missed practice time throughout the week but are all expected to dress against the Bengals.
