When I first made the transition to a smart phone a few years ago, I had a Droid 2 with the slide. I used that phone for about two and a half years and was completely happy with it. At least, I thought I was happy with it until my husband bought me the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx a couple of months ago. Here are the things I love or hate about the Droid Razr Maxx.
Motorola Droid Razr Maxx Pros
I am amazed at the difference in the screen size on the new Razr Maxx. It is so much bigger that my previous Droid and when compared to an iPhone it puts it to shame. The picture is crystal clear and you can really see things clearly on it.
My husband and I are both really impressed with the battery life of the Razr Maxx. I am not on my phone a whole lot to battery life isn’t something that ever really concerns me, but my husband is a different story. He works in sales and I am not exaggerating when I say he is on his phone all day long. There are some conference calls that will last at least an hour and some days he has four or five. He previously had the Droid Incredible with the extra life battery and he would have to charge it mid-day. Now he doesn’t have to worry about his battery in the middle of his work day.
The 8 megapixel camera on this phone is great and the flash is pretty bright. I don’t generally use the cameras on my phones because I just have never felt the quality was as good as a camera, but with this phone it is. The pictures are clear and colors look great. I find myself “forgetting” my camera more often now.
Play Music and Apps
Okay, so I know the Play Music is an App that was preloaded on the phone, but it is far better than the one that was on my other phone. It is much more user friendly and I just enjoy using it more. The App store also transformed to Google Play and is much more user friendly.
Motorola Droid Razr Maxx Con
The only con I can think of with the Razr Maxx is that there is no way to take a screen shot with the phone without downloading an App. Some people have suggested hitting the power button and the volume down button at the same time or the power button and home button, but neither of these work for me and I wish there were an easy way to do a screen shot.
Overall, I am very happy with my Motorola Droid Razr Maxx and will forever be a Droid fan. I have never been one to follow the herd and still cannot understand why so many people think that iPhones hang the moon.
