Diablo 3 Beta – A Video Game Review

by pop tug

OK, just to give you guys a little blurb about the Diablo 3 game that will be released May 15, 2012. I was accepted into the Diablo 3 beta through purchasing a World of Warcraft annual subscription. I played around with it a bit to let those of you who did not have the chance to play the beta get a glimpse into the Diablo 3 game.

I have played each class up to level five. This does not take long, but I have managed to pull some info together for you guys.

The game starts off with your character, whichever one you choose to start with, leading you on your journey. You are looking for Deckard Caine, who went missing when the “fallen star” fell.

The game in general, compared to Diablo 2, which is 10 years older than Diablo 3, has so many upgrades. The graphics are amazingly beautiful with weather, fog and moving objects in the background.

The character movement and the screen movement is a lot like the old Diablo games, but more fluid. Basically, the largest, most beneficial part to the game, other than the story, is the graphics upgrades. But who doesn’t love saving the world from complete and total destruction from the bowels of hell?

You have to love the blood splatter. The dead body mechanics are more exciting as well. This makes your kill more exciting. The response is awesome as they are bashed across the screen as if hit out of the ballpark. This of course always makes for loads of entertainment.

Classes
Each class is unique and entertaining to play. The monk, demon hunter and witch doctor are the three unique classes out of the group.

The monk uses force and fist weapons to tear through enemies and knock them out of their shoes.

The demon hunter uses her speed and long-range expertise with a bow or crossbow. These allow him/her to fell any enemy staying out of harm’s way. Demon hunter also uses traps to slow down their enemies in their tracks.

The witch doctor has all sorts of tricks. He uses poisons and summons, and what’s better than flinging clay jars full of spiders? These are only a few of the things he can do.

The other two common classes are the sorcerer and the barbarian. Regardless of them being common, all the classes are fun, unique and well put together.

For those of you who have not been able to play the Diablo 3 beta, if you liked the older Diablo games, I highly suggest buying this game. You will love every blood flinging minute of it.
