King David Led the Way
And now for the million dollar question: Do Men Look? Recently I was called on to field this question. I was not to answer on behalf of myself, but rather for all men. Why would anyone ask me this? Because I know everything. To present my case, let’s turn to the scriptures. We will reference 2 Samuel 11:2. Now when evening came David arose from his bed and walked around on the roof of the king’s house, and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful in appearance. For those of you who are not Bible scholars, David was the king of Israel, the psalmist and one of the most righteous men of the Old Testament. To give you a little background, David was supposed to be out with his army fighting the Philistines, but instead he chose to stay at the palace and look at naked women. He then went the extra mile by conspiring to kill her husband and subsequently married her himself. Ouch.
Men are predisposed to gawk and stare; it’s born into them as a device to insure the species continues on in perpetuity. Not to blame God for this, but…oh wait, maybe I am. If I was like all the other men, I’d probably be gawking and staring too. Have you seen a Hardee’s commercial lately? It’s enough to make you want to gouge your eyes out. Nobody wants to watch some half-dressed supermodel eat a greasy hamburger, do they? Oh wait, yes. Yes they do. Other men, mind you; not me.
What Girls Want
Everything from the clothing industry to our commercials to the shows we watch should tell you everything you need to know about whether men are looking or not. The sad part about it is the effect it has on young girls. They practice eating hamburgers for years, dreaming of the day they could star in a Hardee’s commercial when the sad truth is that only 1 in 1,000,000 ever could. Most girls just aren’t smart enough to pass the audition; they’d need to have an IQ of at least 200.
Man’s Only Defense
Most men have conditioned themselves to not look when a nice looking woman happens by. That is because of the intense pain previously inflicted by their significant other. They want to look, but the desire to have no broken ribs compels them to suppress their very nature. Remember, this is other men we’re talking about, not me. My wife would never hit me. She is both very kind and attractive, eliminating the need to lust after other women like other guys do.
In conclusion, let’s review. Do men look? Yes, without a doubt all other men look. Sorry guys, your secret is out.
