Are we a product of our environment? If we are, can we assume that we can become ill from elements in our environment? What about healing? Can we assume that we can heal from our same environment or by making changes here or there?
Are we a Product of our Environment?
Two babies are born on the same day. They are of the same ethnic group, identical weight, height and physical build. Would they grow the same?
Genetics consume a large portion of the answer to this question. The differences in cellular make-up, DNA and the fact that genetics play a large part in our design. One may be smaller in stature, while one may grow to be an NFL linebacker. We know that it is scientific fact that two children who are born of the same physical measurements would grow differently.
Two human specimens who are fed the same food, equal proportions and given the same of everything may grow to be similar. The two would probably still not be equal in measurement, physically. With genetics and molecular differences, including metabolism rates, the children would grow with physical differences.
What about these same two specimens who are raised differently? If one had parents who were so busy they rarely spent time with the child and would not be aware of emotional, physical or mental needs, would the child grow the same as the other child, if reared with parents who constantly nurtured, spoke kind words, and told the child how much she or he was loved?
Could this be a child who is a product of his or her environment?
Do we Become Ill From Flaws in our Environment?
There are certain aspects of the environment that we know cause illness in many forms. Pollution, chemical-based addictions, unsafe chemicals in water, food and products used around the home add to the illnesses we see among the population today.
What about our social environment? Can we cause illness among each other by simply talking? One man’s studies hint to this theory.
Destruction Through Words
Dr. Marasu Emoto based his theories on experiments, studies and his spiritual beliefs. The end result is an amazing realization that we can cause illness through interaction. Actually, the realization isn’t really just being realized. We have our proof in front of us. Our children, spouses, friends, family members and even pets.
The demise of plants are one way to see Emoto’s theory. When plants are cared for, they sprout, they bloom and they live up to their full potential. Greenery is greener, the flowers are bright and beautiful and the base of the plant is a healthy green or brown and is strong and sturdy. The stem stands tall and has strength to hold the rest of the plant up with ease. The plant’s cells are healthy, full of vitality and developing the way they are meant to be. Plants that are not nurtured through water, nutrients and even interaction fail to thrive.
Dr. Emoto isn’t the only one who knows about the theory. Einstein stated that E=mc2. In layman’s terms, everything is energy and is therefore connected. Matter (mass or solids) equals energy divided by the speed of light (X). To make things a bit clearer, all things in our environment are not as solid as they appear. It is all just a variation on the energy expression. This thought introduces another thought; by connection of all things, if one is harmed, we are all harmed.
Take, for instance, the physical environment. The importance of helping the environment is vital to sustain life as we know it. Clearing a forest is a disaster in more ways than we will miss the trees and the atmosphere cleaning they provide for us. We can cause an animal to become extinct. This throws the eco-system into ruin. Other forms of life can be damaged due to the break in the chain and it all works its way down to us.
Water is Life
Water is life. All living things have to have water to survive, therefore, we are connected. Water, on a molecular level, has been tested by Dr. Emoto for years. He tests the water by freezing it to form crystals and works with the water crystals in his research.
Dr. Emoto’s works were published in a book titled Messages from Water. Words were introduced to the water crystals and the results were amazing. Various types of music were used to test the crystals, along with the words of intent. He compared crystals after heavy metal music was played with those exposed to the works of Bach or Beethoven. Some of Emoto’s results are displayed in the movie, What the Bleep do I Know?
Emoto used basic phrases to experiment on the crystals. The water crystals kept in a bottle that was tagged “I hate you” were very different after the 30-day experiment, in relation to a bottle that was tagged “I love you.” Emoto would repeat the words posted on each bottle, for 30 days. After 30 days, the bottle tagged with “I hate you” housed water crystals that were shriveled and distorted. The bottle tagged “I love you” boasted large, bright, beautiful crystals that had formed fully.
The Rice Experiment
Placing a bit of white rice in three jars, Emoto attempted the experiment with something more visible. Each jar contained a large serving spoon of cooked white rice. The rice was then covered with water. “I love you,” “I hate you,” and an unlabeled jar stood in the lab for 30 days, untouched. Emoto would say the words on the labels to each jar for the testing period.
Each jar rested for the 30 days, about 7 .1 inches apart from each other. The jar without a label was left, untouched, for the duration of the experiment. The results showed fluffy, white rice in the jar that was labeled “I love you.” The jar labeled “I hate you” held green moldy rice. The jar that was untouched and no words spoken turned out a bit brown and not as nice as the first jar but not as moldy and unhealthy in appearance as the second.
Emoto continued experimentation with water crystals using variations in environmental influences. From water exposed to a Buddhist Monk prayer and beautiful Bach music to telling crystals “I hate you, I want to kill you.” The differences are astounding and brings us to the first question again; can we heal ourselves?
Can we Heal Ourselves?
With these experiments, we find that the results represent the good energy/bad energy concept and we find that words can hurt or heal. Thoughts are energy as well, which makes us susceptible to illness or bad cell production through our ways of thinking too.
What if we took those same two children and introduced them to a beautiful way of life? If we loved, nurtured and exposed them to Bach, prayer or meditation, plants and wildlife, the beauty of the earth and a loving way to exist? The world would sure be better off if we had less violence or extreme hatred toward each other but what about our physical and cellular being?
The thought becomes clear, through these experiments that if we are all connected, the hatred and violence we show others really comes back to us. Not in a karmic way but in a cellular form. If we think these thoughts towards others or maintain the hate or violent patterns in our own bodies, this would harm our selves, as beings, on a cellular level.
Illness is due to unhealthy cell growth. Cancer is the formation of unhealthy cells. Exposing ourselves to vile thoughts or harsh elements in our environment can cause unhealthy cell growth. The pattern of growing healthier cells may stem from our environment; what we eat, what we think and even what we say to each other.
From the results of the experiments and examination of the water crystals, the thought that we could heal ourselves would be something to consider. In no certain terms does this mean giving up on western medical practices or scientific advancements in the medical field. It merely means that medicine and science and energy healing could all work together, as a collective.
Take a look at the water crystals in the photographs. Since we are made up of mostly water, this is what our cells appear like as they are exposed to the good and bad surrounding us. When we speak to others, we can think about the words we say and how we say them in a new light. We may be creating harm to others on a cellular basis.
