News from the world of Kristen Stewart, that amazing example of how a human being can become a movie star without exhibiting the ability to smile, provides the world with some earth-shattering news. Apparently, those women who are in the best physical shape of our era are those women who get paid to have unsimulated intercourse in front of the camera.

Kristen Stewart has officially gone on record as saying that she plans to get into the best shape of her life as part of her pre-production preparations for a role in “Cali.” The film, to be directed by Nick Cassavetes, will delve into snuff films and the darker sides of the adult entertainment industry. Stewart promises to fully immerse herself in the role and her transformation will extend to burnishing her pale complexion in the harsh glow of sunlight and dying her dark hair blonde. All fine and dandy, but it’s that acknowledgement of the influence of those women at the forefront of adult entertainment that is the real eye-opener.
When Stewart asserts that her intention is to get into the best shape of her life and then immediately follows with a deeper analytical addition that this will result in her looking like a stripper or a porn star, one cannot help but pause for a second. Let that idea sink in for a second.

If such a transformation were to become reality, would the odds not weigh quite heavily toward Kristen Stewart appearing in front of Cassavetes’ cameras with ridiculously inflated breasts and other evidence of surgical assistance? The job of those women to whom Stewart looks to for guidance in getting into the best shape of her life is not one based on health, but rather one based solely on attracting the attention of males. The best shape for a stripper or porn star is by definition one that means getting the lion’s share of attention. The more luridly attractive the bodies of these women, the more popular they become and the more popular they become the more money they make. The great physical shape of strippers and porn stars has far less to do with achieving perfection of physique than with getting the most money from prurient interest as possible.
Perhaps, just maybe, if Kristen Stewart is really intent on getting into the best shape of her life in preparation for her role in “Cali” she should look to fitness trainers or athletes or just about any other profession where the most successful representatives have more muscle mass beneath their skin than inorganic materials.
