In this year 2012, at a time when it seems wars are coming to an end and families are coming together I think it is appropriate to look into the bible and thru these few verses try to gain an understanding of the life and times of a man know to as Jesus. We begin with ,
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (NIV)
A memory of a loved one will remain in the mind for a lifetime. This passage gives hope to those who think they are alone in this world. Memories are a we have to offer one another. Do your best to make sure the memories you leave are good ones.
1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead… (NIV)
This spring, as the new life appears from the ground. It is a telling time of rebirth and the opportunity for new growth in all of us. This passage is especially poignant at this time of our living that Jesus reminds us that we all have the opportunity to start again no matter what ones place in life is.
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”
But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’ “
Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid. (NIV)
By following the traditions of the disciples we can gain a better understanding of what Jesus taught. Everyone has troubles. Find it in your heart to love just one person today. Make it a better planet and Happy Easter.
