Do you have a fashion minded teen? Is she fascinated with shows like “Project Runway?” If so, you may want to consider planning a fashion themed party this year. In my experience, there are several goodies that would work well as fashion themed party favors. Here’s a glimpse at a few of them:
Travel Sewing Kits
In my opinion, most aspiring fashionistas would appreciate an emergency sewing kit. The emergency sewing kits that I am familiar with are designed to be compact. They also contain the bare essentials like needles, thread skeins, pins and mini scissors. Oftentimes, the best places to obtain miniature sewing kits are promotional marketing companies and businesses that serve the hospitality industry. They tend to sell the sewing kits in bulk for less than $2 apiece. In some instances, you can also have the kits embossed with a special birthday message for no additional fee.
Mini Makeup and Nail Polish Kits
Mini Makeup and Nail Polish Kits would also make superlative party favors. The kits usually contain eye shadow, lip gloss, nail polish and a foam applicator. You can typically buy them at select retailers for $5 each. If for some reason the kits are out of stock, you may want to make your own kits with miniature sample bottles. Many different retailers sell or give away sample containers of makeup and nail polish. Places to look for makeup samples include Walmart, Sephora and Signature Minerals.
Would you prefer to invest in a party favor that can double as a party activity? Well then, why not give each party guest an opportunity to make a scarf. There are party supply shops and craft stores that sell Design Your Own White Scarves Kits. The kits typically consist of nothing more than a dozen white scarves. The scarves are traditionally 39 inches long and are made to be decorated with fabric paint pens. You’ll need to purchase the fabric paint pens separately. If you do decide to go that route, I’d recommend buying the fast-drying fabric paint pens. Otherwise, you’ll be stuck handing out the scarves long after the party has ended. Of course you could also opt to let the kids tie dye the scarves instead. On average, one kit will lighten your wallet by about $10.
Keeping with the DIY fashionista theme, you may also want to consider investing in Bracelet Kits. There are companies, like Beyond Beautiful, that sell jewelry making kits for $6 each. The kits contain everything that your party guests will need to fashion their own bracelets. You can typically purchase the kits through jewelry supply stores, craft stores and specialty shops.
