by pop tug

WWE ’13 plans to build and completely change features based off the reaction to THQ’s WWE ’12. One of the main features is a renewed focus on the WWE Attitude Era. An era that helped build stars like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and Triple H.

While it’s pretty much guaranteed that they will appear in the game along with Mike Tyson, The Undertaker, Mark Henry and The Big Show, WWE ’13 needs to round out it roster with some of the underrated WWE Attitude Era talent. These stars were not World Champions, but they helped define the WWE at the time.

Owen Hart

The late Owen Hart has been kept out of the majority of WWE programming and video games for several years due to his family harboring bad feelings with the company. His inclusion in the game is unlikely, but it would help round out stables like The Hart Foundation and the Nation of Domination. His character could have many potential costumes and roles like the Blue Blazer.

Ahmed Johnson

Ahmed Johnson fought with such strength and power in the WWE that it was unmatched for quite some time. He is a former Intercontinental Champion that has feuded with Goldust, The Nation of Domination and Stone Cold Steve Austin among others. He is rarely mentioned today by the WWE even though he was a huge part of early Attitude Era moments.

Ken Shamrock

Former UFC brawler Ken Shamrock made the easy transition to the WWE ring. He brought his real life fighting style to the WWE and had an incredible intensity in the ring. Shamrock feuded with The Rock, Dan Severn and was the special guest referee at Wrestlemania 13. A Shamrock character in WWE ’13 would feud great with WWE Superstars like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Sheamus.

Steve Blackman

The McMahons have had famous feuds with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H and The Undertaker, but no one can forget Shane McMahon’s encounter against Steve Blackman. Blackman is the perfect character for WWE ’13 because he brings the hardcore side to the attitude era and would feud with current stars like Kane, Zack Ryder and Randy Orton.

Al Snow

The former ECW star made a great transition into the WWE and provided fans with some weird and hilarious Attitude Era moments. Al Snow had a great feud with the Big Boss Man that should be recreated in WWE ’13 along with potential new feuds. Snow had a fast paced in-ring style that wasn’t conventional and could become a great move set in WWE ’13.
