Hayden Panettiere who plays bad girl country singer Juliette Barnes on ABC’s hit show “Nashville,” was recently the guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” If you are curious what fun facts Hayden Panettiere revealed to Jimmy Kimmel, read on.
Wearing a burgundy-colored dress, Panettiere made herself at home on the Kimmel set. Since it was near election time, Panettiere revealed she had voted by absentee ballot. She said she had met President Obama to talk about one of her passions–saving dolphins and whales.
The New York native said she had been graciously accepted by Nashville and the country music scene and had enjoyed Nashville’s famous Southern hospitality. Panettiere has made friends with numerous local singers, including Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, Kelly Clarkson and Kellie Pickler, some of whom live in the same building where Panettiere lives. Taylor Swift, upon whom Panattiere’s character is partially based, is a also a neighbor and friend.
Kimmel asked Panettiere if she borrowed sugar from any of them and Panettiere, said no, but she had borrowed something a little more valuable from Taylor Swift. Going to write a song with Jessi Alexander, Panettiere discovered she had left her guitar in her trailer. She texted all her friends “Does anybody have a guitar?” and Taylor Swift came through for her. However, the guitar was delivered by two of Swift’s security guards, and Panettiere had to fill out a form. Then she discovered something that made her consider a little kleptomania, much like her “Nashville” character.
“I realized that there’s this little case for guitar picks in it (the guitar). I pulled it out, and they are so cool because they have the cover of her album on them. There were like 10 of them, and I kept thinking I wanted to steal one of them. I was like, ‘She’s not going to notice.’ Then I was like, ‘This is totally a test. She’s totally testing my friendship. She’s going to count the picks.’ So I put it back.”
Panettiere still has the guitar and claims she has adopted it. She recently saw Swift at the CMA Awards. “I was like, ‘Hey, girl – good to see you! You know, I still have your guitar.'” Panettiere stated Taylor Swift looked shocked at the revelation. “I was like, ‘Wait a second, two security guards and piece of paper and you don’t know that I have your $10,000 guitar?'”
CMAs, babysitting Taylor Swift’s guitar, writing songs with Jessi Alexander — it sounds like “Nashville’s” Hayden Panettiere has made herself right at home in Music City.
