Here are a few make up bag essentials that I have found perfect for any look, through years and years of experience. I hope this will help you!
The first thing that is mandatory to have in your makeup bag would be a moisturizer and or sunscreen. You should look for a moisturizer that has sunscreen in it so you can kill two birds with one stone. Olay Regenerist Touch of Sun moisturizer is one of my favorites and a great choice for oily skin.
Choosing the right foundation for your skin type can be a long process. So, just to save you some time, here are a few of my favorites.
Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation- good for oily skin
Revlon New Complexion Compact Foundation-good for fry skin
Always remember to try the foundation on your skin first to make sure it is the right shade.
Most people have made up their minds that the only concealers that have good coverage are expensive. This is not true. I personally have bought cheap makeup and gotten great coverage. It doesn’t have to be expensive to be good. If you don’t have any major blemishes (under eye circles, acne), concealer is not absolutely necessary. But you can also use concealer as a highlighter to highlight different parts of the face like the cheekbone. You should get a concealer that is one or two shades lighter than your skin tone. And you do not have to use a concealer as a concealer. You can also use a foundation that is lighter than your skin tone. I like to use Pasha Hide the Blemish Concealer stick. It is very cheap on eBay and very effective. It also will last a long time with great coverage.
Bronzer is not completely necessary if you do not want your skin any darker than it is. But bronzer can also help to give dimension to your face if applied under the cheek bones and can also be used as a blush to add color to your skin tone. Otherwise, bronzer can be used all over the face (mostly around the cheeks and nose area) as a way to make your skin look healthier and clearer. NYC Sun’n’Bronze Bronzing powder is great and can also be used as eye shadow.
It is your choice of either liquid or pencil, but I prefer pencil because it is easy to apply. My favorite eyeliner is the Este’ Lauder Pure Color Intense Kajal Eye liner. It lasts all day and through mostly anything. If you don’t need eyeliner, it is not necessary. Remember to apply your makeup in a way that looks almost natural and not like a mask.
When considering mascara, I prefer waterproof because of how long it will last. Maybelline Lash Stiletto is one of the best waterproof mascaras out there. Revlon 3D Extreme mascara is also one of my favorites.
It is good to use a variety of colors when applying eye shadow. I like Kleancolor Beauty Essentials because of the price and good quality.
I hope this helped! Have fun!
