Is the NRA Validating Madness? Gun Laws Versus Gun Rights

by pop tug

Having a sense of perfect security in our nation – when it comes to the recent legislature on gun laws, may be a passing fantasy of sorts, but something has to be done in order to fight the rising gun deaths in America.

These are most dangerous times we live within today, and regardless of what many polls portray about violent gun deaths in America, most of it is a bunch of hog wash.

The talk of the town is about President Obama’s proposed ban on assault weapons, a majority of Americans would agree that this is one step in the right direction.

The NRA is opposed to President Obama’s ban on high powered weapons, and many citizens feel that their First Amendment rights will somehow be violated if this ban goes into affect.

There is no easy way to sugar coat the need to install a more efficient way to incorporate transparent state-wide background checks. The present course of the proposed gun law issue has created a mixture of ill feelings, related to gun owners who are not willing to give up their automatic hand guns.

Even in the midst of a random shooting that killed 20 school children and 6 staff members in Newton, Connecticut, many gun owners fail to realize the importance of regulating semi-automatic hand guns.

The narrow minded view that guns don’t kill people is absolute idiocy. A gun is an inanimate object; this weapon can be used for sport, or it can be used to bring bodily harm to an innocent human being.

Indiscriminate deadly gun shootings have become more common place in America today, and the majority of these violent crimes draw from from the use of an automatic hand gun.

The NRA really does not care about people being murdered by an automatic weapon. In fact, the NRA has no moral conscience in relation to how many Americans have been killed by high-powered automatic hand guns, its all about the sales, not about the value of human life.

I personally value and cherish my First Amendment rights, but the time has come for America to reevaluate its stand on Gun Laws and Gun Rights.

Is America ready to take a stand on the reality that automatic hand guns are killing our children, and corrupting their perception of reality?

President Obama’s administration has taken steps to ensure that more diligent background checks will aid in the reduction of crazed individuals obtaining semi-automatic hand guns – who mean to bring harm to innocent civilians.

Does America have a conscience when it comes to Gun Laws versus Gun Rights?

I personally believe that it is our moral responsibility to do everything possible to mandate laws that ban automatic assault weapons. What will it take for America to stop validating this madness on regulating our outdated Gun Law?
