Is an Italian themed dinner party in your future? If so, you may want to contemplate purchasing a few Italian themed party favors for your dinner guests. As a former special events planner, I happen to know of a few items that would be ideal for use at such an occasion. With that said, here’s a passing glance at a handful of them:
Individual Boxes of Biscotti
In my experience, individual boxes of chocolate-dipped biscotti make outstanding party favors. If you are not comfortable making the biscotti yourself, there are companies that will do it for you. Some of them are even capable of personalizing the biscotti with a special message for your guests. Prices for the biscotti will vary based on the bakery.
Individual Bottles of Dipping Oil
Individual bottles of homemade dipping oil would make exceptional party favors as well. If you have never made homemade dipping oil before, there is a great recipe posted on the McCormick website that should help. As far as the individual oil bottles go, you can typically purchase them through craft stores, party supply stores and packaging related retailers for less than $2 each. I’d also recommend personalizing each bottle with a graphic or text that commemorates your special occasion.
Bags of Jordan Almonds
Are you working with a tight budget? Well then, why not think about giving your guests little tulle bags filled with Jordan almonds? Nowadays, Jordan almonds come in a vast array of colors. As such, you can usually buy a case of candies that will match your party’s overall color scheme. A pound of Jordan almonds is likely to lighten your wallet by about $6. A 30-piece case of drawstring organza bags, on the other hand, is apt to cost you $6. You can typically purchase the Jordan almonds through a candy wholesaler. The organza bags are often available for purchase through packaging supply stores like Paper Mart. I’d also suggest that you consider outfitting the bags with an elegant gift tag made out of cardstock.
Miniature Bottles of Italian Wine
Over the years, I have also found that miniature bottles of Italian wine make superior party favors too. Of course there are many different types of Italian wines to choose from. If you plan on serving foods from a certain region of Italy, I’d suggest that you select a wine that is also produced in that area. If you plan on serving a variety of Italian foods, you may want to consider investing in a dessert or sparkling wine instead.
