What makes this article worth reading:
D. Robb’s In Death Series and Celebrity in Death is a great read. The story takes you into the life of Hollywood actors and their bad behavior. They will do anything, even murder to protect their interests. Eve Dallas is funny, strong and lovable. Peabody is a calm sidekick. Roarke makes you want to swoon. The sex scenes between Eve and Roarke are hot as they sizzle between the sheets and between the covers of the book. There is death, drama, twists and turns. The who dunnit will surprise you.
Art Imitates Life
The Icove Agenda is a film based on Nadine Furst’s bestseller, which depicts the real life drama of Lieutenant Eve Dallas and Delia Peabody when they solved the Icove Murders.
Marlo Durn, Dallas’ on-screen persona makes some people do a double-take. She looks so much like Eve that it takes the Lt. some getting used to.
K.T. Harris, Peabody’s on-screen persona looks a lot like the real Peabody. The only difference, Harris is a first class beyotch. And a crazy one at that.
Julian Cross plays Roarke, Eve’s husband and gazillionnaire. He is as sexy as the real deal, but that is all he has in common with the Irish heartthrob that makes Eve hot.
Celebrity Bash
Eve and her crew are all invited to the Director’s up-scale home with a rooftop lap pool which is covered by a dome. Mason Roundtree and his wife, Connie Burkett are gracious hosts.
The party is not only is a chance for the crew to celebrate the movie, but it is also an opportunity to bring together the real- life personas and their on screen look alikes. There is food and drink and yes drama when Eve politely rips Harris a new one.
After dinner the guests are treated to bloopers. While they busy watching the movie there is another drama unfolding up on the roof.
Celebrity Death
K.T. Harris ends up face-down in the lap pool. The dome, which covers the pool, is not closed properly. Marlo Durn and Matthew Zank go to the rooftop and when they see their colleague in the water, Marlo panics while Mathew jumps in, pulls K.T. out and tries to revive her. But she is already dead. They go back down and alert the others as to what transpired.
One Body. Too Many Suspects
Dallas and Peabody both look glamorous and Eve is dripping in bling. But when word comes down that there is a dead body on the rooftop, both go into cop mode and the only thing drippin is K.T. Harris.
The guests are shocked to learn they are all suspects. And like any celebrity worth his or her salt, they unleash their inner diva, put their actor faces on, and keep tid bits of information to themselves. They are unaware that Dallas, Peabody, McNabb, and Roarke are damn good at what they do, and they will dig out the truth from the bull that is being slung at them.
Heat between the Sheets
Eve and Roarke both enjoy passion despite death and mayhem. Their communion sizzles and the mercury rises. There is no cold freeze for these two.
Makeup can only hide so Much
Eve and Peabody learn that K.T. was a blackmailer and was both hated and feared by her colleagues. They learn that Marlo and Mathew are lovers. They also learn that the dome was closed the morning of the party, and the closing mechanism is finicky. The killer would not have known that. They learn that Julian is hiding something. The only problem is, he has no real idea what the hell it is. They learn that the Producer, Joel Steinburger, has been a very naughty and dangerous boy. Lastly, they learn that the Publicist, Valerie Xaviar has received a lot of money for other duties that are not in her job description.
