It was a star-studded grand opening for America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Murray SawChuck at his new show in the Laugh Factory in the Tropicana Hotel (see list below). I haven’t seen so many celebrities since I was interviewing them along the Red Carpet at the Academy Awards.
Instead of a Red Carpet, Murray’s color was blue because of his signature blue suit and Murray’s name appeared on the Blue Carpet as well as on the blue banners hanging from the ceiling.
Following the Blue Carpet, Murray, his beautiful assistant Chloe and bumbling sidekick magician Lefty performed for the special guests and the public in the filled showroom.
Murray’s finesse and experience made his act a STANDOUT “work of art”, the art of an accomplished master magician. When you see Murray in person, you will know why he gained the America’s Got Talent title.
Murray explained, “It’s an interesting balance. When I perform more intimate slight- of- hand magic it requires a lot of practice and the big props must be designed so that they are deceptive. Some tricks take 5-6 months or longer of practice.
During one act he placed a large bottle of wine in a bag and suddenly the wine was gone! Just as everyone wondered, “How did he do that?” Murray performed more quick manipulations one after another until he began his illusions. Even if you watch closely it won’t help.
There were so many magical moments in Murray’s show I couldn’t count them all! And if you want a show where the audience gets involved, this is the one.
I liked the way Murray mixed humor with his magic and illusions to amuse and amaze his audience.
Following the show, there was a VIP party in the lounge.
Some of the celebs who walked Murray’s Blue Carpet were:
Hypnotist Anthony Cools (Paris), the cast from “Jersey Boys” (Paris), America’s Got Talent Finalists “Recycled Percussion” (Tropicana), comedian Louie Anderson (Palace Station), the hunks from “Thunder from Down Under” (Excalibur), Emmy winning singer Clint Holmes (The Smith Center), impressionist Gordie Brown (Golden Nugget), hypnotist Marc Savard (V Theater, Planet Hollywood), “Human Nature” (Imperial Palace), America’s Got Talent winner Michael Grimm (Green Valley Ranch), the girls from “Fantasy” (Luxor), feature film/TV actor C. Thomas Howell (“The Outsiders,” TNT series “Southland” and upcoming “Spider Man”), Emmy winning set designer Andy Walmsley, world class juggler Nino Frediani, singer Frankie Moreno (Stratosphere), singer Zowie Bowie (Red Rock), mentalist American Idol finalist Singer Jasmine Trias, Gerry McCambridge (Planet Hollywood), ventriloquist Michele La Fong, magician/ vocalist Ben Stone, singer Jack Walker, the cast of ‘Pawn Stars”, Producer/ Director Tim Molyneux of “Bite” (Stratosphere), Anchor Dayna Roselli (CBS “8 News Now”), and more.
