Many people are initiating their new year’s resolution and commitments to renovate and transform their lives. Not just that, they are taking a big step to introduce new changes in their lifestyle as well as discard the old negative ones. What about the changes needed for better parenting? Do you think it’s the right time to make some changes in your parenting strategies and make resolutions to improve your parenting skills? Yes, it is the best time to do that and for a fresh beginning as well. It’s also a great opportunity for one to reflect and think about the necessary adjustments that you can make to improve your parenting style.
Prior to starting for one’s resolutions its important to analyze the past first. In that way, you can determine which behavior you would change to increase proper parenting. Just by focusing more on pointing out the things which are going right and then think constructively about your common parenting issues, you will create a happier home. Here are my parenting resolutions for 2013 that would certainly bring positive effects in the oncoming year.
Save More Money by Couponing and Meal Planning
It’s not hard to spend a huge amount of money nowadays at the grocery stores each week. There are better way to spend less just by getting a coupon for free or “on sale” and making a list of grocery items for meal planning. Creating a meal plan will provide healthy meals for my family and allow lower expenses. It may take a little time at first but it will definitely be worth all the savings and help reduce wasting food and over purchasing items.
Spend More Time With My Child and My Hubby
Parenthood requires not only to support your children’s daily needs but also to spend good amount of time with them. For parents, work life can really be hectic and this could make it impossible to spend some quality time with children and their selves. Devoting time to my child will greatly develop an everlasting bond.
Help My Child & Family Go Green
By teaching my child how to be evo -friendly, my goal is that I will be instilling in her good values that will make her do good . Simple lessons include garbage segregation, teaching the family baby and hubby included how to reuse things, allowing them to get involved in gardening, teaching them to turn off lights and air conditioning when leaving the room. My husband and I are from different countries so he isn’t use to recycling as much as we are here in the Unites States. I want my family to appreciate an eco-friendly lifestyle and the benefits it provides.
Pursue Family Entrepreneurial Goals
This year I want to develop a plan for our family business that increase not only our wealth but also benefit our community. It can greatly support my child’s education and other needs. I want to teach my child how to be a successful entrepreneurs which will provide her with great opportunities to develop skills, self confidence and financial freedom at early age .
If I want to make all these things happen and move beyond the stresses in my life, I need to dedicate and schedule time for myself. Doing so will allow myself as a parent to function effectively and recover all the things that life may throw my way. For every cumulative growth in our lives carries enormous challenges and better parenting requires renewed energy and enthusiasm to be successful. I’m excited for what lies ahead for myself and my family for this year. My goal is to take things at a time with a smile on my face.
