Newsboys to Play the Kentucky State Fair on Monday

by pop tug

Christian music fans in Cincinnati will have the opportunity to see the Newsboys on Monday, August 20 with special guest Santus Real as part of the free concert series at the Kentucky State fair. With a paid ticket to the fair, guests can see the concerts for free.

In addition to the fair show, the Newsboys are getting ready to kick off the upcoming leg of their “God’s Not Dead Tour.”

The Newsboys just wrapped their highly successful 60-city God’s Not Dead Tour and the band recently announced that they will extend the tour through the fall of 2012.

Hitting 35-plus cities across the U.S. The fall leg of this much sought after tour will kick off September 20th in Johnson City, TN and wrap in San Antonio, TX on November 18th.

Joining Newsboys on the fall leg of the tour is Building 429 and Luminate. Compassion International will also continue their partnership with Newsboys in raising awareness and sponsorships for children overseas during the tour.

Over the course of the sellout tour this past spring, the Newsboys’ God’s Not Dead Tour impacted thousands of lives, both locally and internationally, making it one of the most in-demand nights of worship, praise and celebration. Nearly 5,000 children were sponsored through the partnership with Compassion International, while 3,200 people pledged to be “Second to One” through I am Second. Testimonies poured in following each show, and thousands more indicated their desire to give their lives to Christ after hearing a message of hope from evangelist Bob Lenz of Life Promotions.

As they ready for the fall tour, Newsboys continue to perform this summer at festivals, fairs and other concert dates, performing many of their biggest No. 1 hits such as “God’s Not Dead” and “Born Again.” More dates to be added soon. Visit http://www.Newsboys.com and the tour’s official webpage at GodsNotDeadTour.com for the latest news and updates.

Admission to the fair is $10 for adults and $6 for seniors (55 and up) and children (ages 3-12). Parking is $8. For more information, visit www.kystatefair.org.
