Columbus Oktoberfest was once held in historic German Village, a 233-acre neighborhood listed on the National Register of Historic Places, near downtown Columbus, Ohio. New development of the area made hosting Oktoberfest in German Village impossible. Supporters stepped in and Oktoberfest was re-located back to the Ohio Expo Center, the site of the annual Ohio State Fair. Oktoberfest has exceeded recent expectations and the 2012 Oktoberfest is sure to be another huge success.
