ABC’s new season of network TV is off to a roaring start. Their blockbuster Sunday night dramas return with “Once Upon A Time,” “Revenge,” and the highly anticipated series premiere of “666 Park Avenue.” Fans probably won’t even miss the loss of “Desperate Housewives.”
At least two of the stars of “Once Upon a Time” stumped on the morning talk shows to promote their hit show. The show is about fairytale characters who are under a spell and living in the real world. For storytelling and fantasy genre junkies, this series is the real deal. Even if you’ve never wondered what Rumpelstiltskin might be like in real life (pretty evil) this well-conceived show will have you wanting to know more. The show takes place in the fictional small town of Storybrooke, which is supposed to be in Maine.
Jennifer Morrison visited “The View” and Lana Parrilla took a turn on “The Chew.” Morrison plays Emma Swan, the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. Parrilla plays Regina Mills also known as “The Evil Queen.” Their characters are mortal enemies on the addictive show. They both portray strong and determined women trying to mother the child at the center of the dynamic plot.
Jennifer was fun on “The View.” Whoopi Goldberg is clearly a fan of the series. The banter between the two actresses was endearing as Jennifer shared tidbits of what fans could expect to see in the second season. Morrison shared a clip where her character Emma is clearly annoyed at the revelation of her storybook parentage. No sir, Ms. Swan doesn’t take kindly to learning that Snow White is her mom — and you thought that your family was odd!
Lana was surprisingly sweet on “The Chew.” Yes, we’re adults so we get that the evil genius she plays on TV isn’t really her. However, Ms. Parrilla is such an incredible actresses that we half expected the vicious queen to show up wielding a spatula. Lana was a part of the cooking show’s “Extra Value Friday” and is apparently quite the home chef. She indicates on the show’s blog that being of Puerto Rican and Italian heritage makes her an instant foodie.
Season 2 of “Once Upon A Time” debuts on ABC on Sunday, September 30th, 2012. Check your local listings for exact times. As usual, we’ll be watching!
