Anchor and Braille is a musical act featuring Stephen Christian and Micah Tawlkes. Christian, who is the lead singer for the group Anberlin, had a collection of songs that did not fit the image of his band. That is when he decided to embark on a side project, and that is when Anchor and Braille came to fruition. The musical group has an amazing sound, expansive song collection, and definitely deserves all the attention it can muster. Here is a look at five of the best songs by Anchor and Braille yet, and see what the fuss is all about.
“Goes Without Saying”
“Goes Without Saying” is a lovely song with extraordinary instrumental accompaniment, fresh lyrics, and strong vocal quality. This is definitely a memorable song that I will be listening to for quite some time, and most definitely deserves more radio air time. For added entertainment value, be sure to check out the music video for “Goes Without Saying.”
“In With the New”
Another great song by Anchor and Braille is “In With the New.” “In With the New” is a high energy track with a great sound and vibe. Featuring a much different vibe than many of Anchor and Braille’s other songs, “In With the New,” has a fresh sound and will be replaying on repeat on my mp3 player for quite some time. “In With the New” is nothing short of completely memorable.
“Hymn For Her”
“Hymn For Her” is a song by Anchor and Braille that is irresistibly beautifully. Featuring lovely piano accompaniment, pitch perfect vocals, and lyrics that sound like they could have been removed from a deeply private poetry book. “Hymn For Her” is by far one of the most beautiful songs to date by Anchor and Braille.
“Find Me”
Another magnificent song by Anchor and Braille is “Find Me.” This song caught my attention immediately. Featuring a mellow vibe, and a sound that is somewhat different that many of the music group’s other songs. Interestingly enough, Anchor and Braille’s perform in this song reminded me quite a lot of As Tall As Lions, another indie music group; and that is a huge compliment in my book.
“Sleep. When We Die”
“Sleep. When We Die” is a fantastic song by Anchor and Braille. Featuring poignant, meaningful, and highly relevant lyrics, beautiful melody and harmony, and a vocal performance that is full of intensity, passion, and real emotion.
