by pop tug

Kyle Busch Motorsports has announced that Parker Kligerman has joined the team and will drive in the Nationwide Series in 2013. Kligerman lost his ride with Brad Keselowski Racing in the middle of the 2012 season and joined Red Horse Racing. Now, he will have a full-time schedule with Kyle Busch next year.

Parker Kligerman Gets a New Ride

After Parker Kligerman was released by Brad Keselowski Racing in the middle of 2012, his future in NASCAR seemed uncertain. Although he found a place with Red Horse Racing, his plans for 2013 were not known. Now, Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) has announced that he will join the team to compete full-time in the Nationwide Series next year.

Kyle Busch has been searching for young talent to add to the team, and the 22-year-old has experience. Kligerman finished the 2012 season in fifth place in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He will move to the Nationwide Series in 2013, and Busch has high expectations for the driver. He mentioned, “Once Parker got behind the wheel of a Toyota halfway through the season, he proved that he was capable of running up front week in and week out in the Truck Series and comes to us with a lot of confidence.” Kyle Busch believes that having Parker Kligerman on the team will help KBM establish a stronger identity in motorsports.

Parker Kligerman Discusses Kyle Busch Motorsports

Parker Kligerman seems enthusiastic about next season and his move to Kyle Busch Motorsports. The driver stated, “I feel that running full-time in the Truck Series the last two seasons and coming close to a championship last season has prepared me to be able to do the same in the Nationwide Series next year.” His past success certainly played a role in Busch’s decision to hire him. KBM has not announced any sponsorships for the 22-year-old, but the team may be waiting for negotiations to be finished. Kyle Busch has previously indicated that he would not be able to commit to a driver without outside sponsorship, so Kligerman will probably be getting funding from another source.
