As a show founded on the lives of those from fairy tales, “Once Upon a Time” is full of magical surprises and characters viewers have known since childhood, including the likes of Snow White, Captain Hook, Jiminy Cricket and Rumplestiltskin. When someone new emerges in Storybrooke, it is only a matter of time before it is revealed who this individual really was back in their home of Fairtytale.
Here are a few characters that might be brought to the forefront in Storybrooke in the future:
Cruella De Vil (101 Dalmations) – Though the residents of Storybrooke already seem to have their hands full with the evil of Cora, Cruella De Vil might be a nice rival for her nasty ways. Not to mention that Jiminy/Archie has a pet Dalmatian, so it stands to reason that Cruela De Vil may be lurking in the shadows already.
Ariel (The Little Mermaid) – As characters on “Once Upon a Time” and their stories are constantly bouncing between the lands of Storybrooke and Fairytale, it seems Ariel, who had issues being trapped in one world (the ocean) and wanted to be part of another (the land) would understand their plight. Given that Storybrooke is located on the water, this makes it the perfect the location for the emergence of The Little Mermaid.
Peter Pan – With Captain Hook already in attendance, it seems Peter Pan can’t be far behind. Perhaps he is tucked away in Neverland to avoid growing up, but once he realizes the havoc that Hook is creating, he may feel obligated to assist. As a perpetual youngster, Peter Pan might be a nice friend for Henry.
Aladdin and Jasmine – It seems odd that with all of the fairy tale characters on the show, there is but a single Prince and Princess couple in Charming and Snow White. A little added royalty would be a good thing, and having Aladdin and Jasmine enter the scene would give Charming and Snow another couple to befriend and assist them in their challenges.
The Genie (Aladdin) – With magic now set free in Storybrooke, it is clear that some possess more of knack for it than others. Cora, Regina and Rumplestiltskin seem to have the most magical abilities, but adding the Genie into the mix might change that. Having the power to grant wishes would make the Genie a powerful, and interesting, character.
Only time will tell what characters will enter the lives of those in Storybrooke in the future, yet there is no doubt that anyone will joins the tale of “Once Upon a Time” will have a magical journey.
