Some big events will be occurring in June’s astrological skies. These will start around the 4th when there will be a Lunar eclipse and full moon in Sagittarius.
A Venus Transit in astronomy is when we can see this planet, from earth, passing directly in front of the Sun. The last time this rare event occurred was in June 2004. Previous to this it was in 1769, 1874 and 1882 and it will not be seen again until 2117. And on June 5th/6th depending on where you are in the world, Venus will cross the face of the Sun.
This planet will be too small to totally block out the Sun, but this does not detract from the importance of this celestial event. Events occurring in June this year are likely to go down in history as marking an important turning point in the area of new developments/explorations, advances in thinking and communications. These Transits, as rare as they may be, bring occurrences, developments and discoveries that link people together. It may also be that an archaeological discovery will in some way link a certain culture’s religious beliefs with the past bringing a revelation or evidence that will contribute to the unraveling of controversial aspects of religious history.
Between the 7th and 12th, Mercury will enter Cancer and Mercury will make a positive link with Neptune before it makes some tense connections with Pluto and Uranus. Jupiter will enter Gemini and Chiron will turn retrograde.
We will all need to carefully consider new ideas put to us now as they could contain a lot of propaganda. Politicians who make their own rules will cause a lot of controversy and there will be more campaigns demanding that the public and societies have more choice
All across the world, June will be a highly-charged month. People will be coming together not just because of their religious or political beliefs but in their desire for a more harmonious future, for fairness and economic justice. There will be an increased awareness of associations and partnerships set up to reduce violence and bring global peace. Peaceful protests may not however end as harmoniously as they begin. With Uranus tensely linked with Pluto and Jupiter in conflict with Neptune around the 24th, events leading up to and leading away from this period are going to be heated and stressful for us all. This tense climate is likely to last for some time.
Big changes are starting to occur and the root of all the controversy, the whole world over, will be the struggle between power (Pluto) and freedom (Uranus.) What was taken for granted in the past, may not be so easily available now. There will be disruptions, disturbances and stoppages almost as a part of our everyday lives. Where we will continue to see advancements is in the area of technology. There will be revolts, riots and uprisings and this social unrest will continue as these two planets continue to make a series of similar links over the next few years, the next one being in September.
The planet Saturn has been retrograde since February and on 25th, it will turn direct. Expect to see increasing demand for people to be paid a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work. It will be the past that influences new policies and regulations that are now being formed and people will be expected to accept their responsibility to society and acknowledge there is no such thing as a ‘free lunch.’ Also around the 25th Mercury will be moving from Cancer into Leo. There will be passion behind new ideas, and enthusiasm for events and procedures that capture the public’s imagination. It might seem like any positive events are over-dramatized in an effort to inspire renewed hope and confidence. People will feel a need for a little fun and excitement in their lives now and with Venus turning direct on the 27th and Mercury linking favorably with Jupiter as the month ends, it could well be that we will all catch a glimpse of silver lining.
