With the market flooded with new products everyday, I often find that some of the products are simply over marketed to establish a consumer relation but there is also many benefits of trying out new products. These products have actually been beneficial to myself as well as the environment around me.
For starters I am constantly on the look-out for a pH-balanced skin cleanser for my face. I feel that in the past decade or so we have seen many of the TV infomercials that have made certain products famous, but I also feel that there are many that are right at the drugstores that have helped me as well. The advanced chemistry that has made new products safer for older, aging skin is wonderful. I find that the enzymes in such products that have natural extracts also can help greatly. I remember just using Noxema growing up but I find that I would still use that product but I would opt to buy a different product from the Burt Bee’s because I know it is clinically better for my skin.
Another avenue of healthier living I have always tried is the organic foods. I first was very sketchy about organic foods, but as my body has changed in the last few years due to hypoglycemia I have had to watch my sugar intake daily. I find that many of the new organic products from the Amy’s Organic Foods, Silk, organic cheese and hummus all have helped my digestive system. I feel so much better and alert when I eat something organic and I think that the trend in producing more organic foods has been wonderful for people with diabetes.
I am always out and about, running errands and doing some shopping at various stores. I think sometimes I feel like I have about six different bags to go through that are confusing and yet annoy me. One great way to cut back on extra bags or extra trash in the car is to purchase the Eco-friendly shopping bags at local retailers. I find this very nice for organization and preserving the environment also. It can greatly reduce the number of grocery or plastic bags we consume everyday.
With my housework around the home, I sometimes do cook three meals a day, which includes a heavy load of dishes. Sometimes I do opt to wash the dishes by hand, but of course other times I like to use the dishwasher. The vacuum sealed dishwasher packets are really useful because I know that I am using just enough for the load that I need to wash, they have recently made these for washing clothes also. I have always found it a waste and quite messy when too much detergent seeps into the dishwasher or washing machine.
Finally another great way health-science related product recently that has helped are Eco-friendly coffee cups and water bottles. I have found that I have bought these and they actually have been substantial for my daily workouts opposed to buying or taking bottled water with me every time. They can be bought for as low as one dollar up to twenty dollars. I think they are a wise investment because they reduce garbage and obviously, they are saving some money. I have always seen water bottles of some types growing up but the silicone or the stainless steel coffee and water jugs/mugs are simply excellent for taking a drink to work/school/the gym, etc.
All of these environmentally friendly and health products have been proven to always uplift my spirits, even though they are small, they seem to make my life easier and have a very nice convenience to them. I hope in the near future we can see more health and Eco-friendly products to help the human race and Earth.
