It’s no secret that he’s been going through a tough time as of late, but Robert Pattinson was a good sport during his interview with Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show” last night (August 13).
The “Remember Me” hunk showed up on stage where Stewart had positioned some Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream to help him cope with the drama of his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart’s infidelity.
Jon asked, “Obviously, what have you been up to?” to which Rob replied, “I had a joke. I was all set up and ready to go. Goddamn it!”
And of course, Stewart kept pressing the issue- “We’re just a couple of gals . . . tell me everything!” as he dove into the ice cream with the scorned “Twilight” hunk.
Pattinson shared, “This is a program where I can feel awkward in every situation . . . I’m trying to avoid eating! I don’t know how to approach this. This is the weird thing about these interviews. I’m going to sound like an idiot,” he said, admitting to Stewart that the ice cream was a “great idea.”
On a real note, Jon offered, “Here’s my wish for you. I know you’re going through some weird business. Get a handle on your business in private. I wish you all the best. You’re a nice guy!”
Making for quite the fan frenzied event, the stars of “Cosmopolis” gathered together for their New York City premiere on Monday evening (August 13).
The Museum of Modern Art spectacle was stacked full of awaiting Robert Pattinson fans as the “Twilight” hunk made his first appearance since news broke about the shocking affair involving Kristen Stewart and her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders.
Looking dapper in a perfectly fitted suit, the 26-year-old star made his way down the red carpet and looked happily solo on his big night out.
In an interview with Premiere, Robert spoke about the David Cronenberg directed film, saying, “shooting “Cosmopolis” with Cronenberg changed something in me. It gave me balls,” adding, “Before, I used to doubt [myself] all the time. When I was reading a script, I would annoy myself, wondering if I was worth the role or if I could do it. Now, I tell myself: “F*** it! If they’re ready to hire me, go for it.”
The highly anticipated drama revolves around a 28-year-old billionaire who is riding around Manhattan in order to get a haircut. In a turn of events, he ends up meeting a crazy collection of characters and deals with a dramatic night.
