Harley-Davidson Café has a single location on the Vegas Strip and plenty of cool stuff to make it worth a visit. This is not your typical themed restaurant nor part of a chain, but a single location on the Vegas Strip since 1997.
The wow atmosphere
Not your typical biker bar, the Harley-Davidson Café is a family friendly place with an impressive collection of Harley-Davidson memorabilia and motorcycles. Enter under the custom-built landmark motorcycle replica standing 28 feet high over the front portico. An elaborate conveyor belt rotation system worthy of a Broadway stage lifts seven antique Harley specimens high above the restaurant floor and circles them round the place. Custom motorcycles are on display, including bikes from Billy Joel, Elvis and Ann-Margaret. The centerpiece is a giant American flag suspended 40 feet from the ceiling. Made from 44,000 chain links and weighing nearly 10 tons, its listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as “The World’s Heaviest Flag”.
Get hitched here
A Chopper Chapel on the premises means you can get hitched by an Elvis minister between bites of a burger. If you have a lot of friends, the upstairs and patio can be booked out too, allowing a capacity crowd of 1,400 for your reception. Or, if it’s a quickie commitment and you’ve no friends in town, opt for the wedding package from only $199 plus tax to include a meal for two, a split of champagne, two T-shirts and two photos. Biker brides and grooms may like having their photo taken in front of a replica “Captain America” bike from the movie, “Easy Rider.”
If you’re coming by bike, just head for the Strip. Park out back. The Harley-Davidson Café is a few mintues’ walk from the Cosmopolitan, the Bellagio, New York New York, the Paris Las Vegas and other Strip hotels. Closest of all is Planet Hollywood, so it’s easy enough to roll out of bed and have breakfast at the HDC. Hearty breakfasts of steak and three eggs with sausage and bacon dot the menu; this is a ‘real men don’t eat yogurt’ kind of a menu at prices that beat a Vegas hotel’s. Barbecue, burgers, hog sandwich, mac and cheese, and meatloaf are the kind of popular choices you’ll find in large portions on a long, moderately priced menu. Retro 50s furniture and a bar featuring a map of Route 66 on the ceiling make bikers feel right at home, not to mention boomers, too.
