Springtime is Welcomed with Easter Egg Hunts in Toledo, Ohio

Toledo is welcoming the Spring of 2012 with pastel gardens, cheerful window displays and Easter Egg Hunts! There are several opportunities for families to share in the tradition of hunting for colorful Easter Eggs filled with goodies and treats as well as the hard boiled eggs that have been colored and painted with care. Grown ups can enjoy the fun by capturing the moments with cameras while sharing laughs with one another and catching up with or meeting new friends. As a prelude to Easter Sunday, which is April 8, 2012, there will be several Easter Egg Hunts held.

Saturday, March 31, 2012

10:30 AM-The Waterville Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place at Conrad Park located on Michigan Ave. (State Route 64) for children under 10 years old. Age groups will be divided by 3; (3-4 year olds), (5-6 year olds), and (7-8 year olds) and each will have a chance to find the Golden Egg Surprise out of a possible 3, 000 eggs! 1:00 PM-The East Toledo Family Center will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 10 and under. Located in Navarre Park, just behind the center, The Easter Bunny will be there cheering on the kids as they hunt for their eggs. Families are encouraged to bring their own baskets and a camera to capture the moments. The East Toledo Family Center is located at 1020 Varland Ave. Toledo, OH 43605.

2:00 PM-Fort Meigs YMCA Max Members Easter Egg Hunt. Children ages 10 and under can bring their own baskets, ready to be filled with Easter Eggs and Goodies. The Fort Meigs YMCA is located at 210 East S. Boundary St. Perrysburg, Ohio 43551. For more information, please visit their website at www.ymcatoledo.org

Oak Harbor, Ohio

2:00 PM-The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 12 and under. The egg hunt will start in Adolphus Kraemer Park at the Log Cabin, followed by a candy hunt downtown. Then families can continue to the Portage Fire Station on Water Street where Mr. & Mrs. Bunny will be, ready to share photos, and have a chance at winning a special Golden Egg basket. 10:00am-3:00pm-The Toledo Zoo will host a full day of Easter Egg Hunts within the habitats of various animals. Join other families as they embark on adventures of learning about each animal’s home and habits while searching for Easter Eggs. There will be storytelling throughout the day in several locations and crafts in the Nature’s Neighborhood Workshop from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Visit www.toledozoo.org to learn more.

11:00 AM-The UAW Local 14 will hold an Easter Egg Hunt for members, GM-Powertrain employees and their families. There will be five age groups participating in the egg hunt; 1 yr. & under, 2-3 yrs., 4-6 yrs., 7-9 yrs. and 10-12 yrs and Quacky the Clown will be there to perform Magic and create awesome balloon characters. The local 14 is located at 5411 Jackman Rd. Toledo, OH 43613.

Findlay, Ohio

10:30AM-The Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation, Inc. will be the location for Findlay’s Easter Egg Hunt. With an admission of $2 Adults and $1 Children 12 & younger, kids can participate in the Easter Egg Hunt and get a quarter-scale train ride ticket! The Easter Bunny will join the children on the train rides, which will take place after the Easter Egg Hunt has concluded. The age groups for the egg hunt are (2-3 year olds), (4-6 year olds), and (7-8 year olds). Children must bring their own baskets and each will receive a treat. Hicksville, Ohio

10:00 AM-The Hicksville Community Service Center will host an Easter Egg Hunt beginning with photos with the Easter Bunny, followed by an Easter Egg Hunt at 11:00am. The events will take place at the Rotary Pavilion and will include snacks, crafts, and face painting. The Rotary Pavilion is located at 598 North Bryan Street Hicksville, Ohio 43526.
