Are you planning to have your wedding around Thanksgiving? If so, you may want to take a peek at some of my Thanksgiving themed wedding favor ideas. Here they are:
Bag of Seasonal Nuts
A decorative bag of seasonal nuts would make a nice Thanksgiving themed wedding favor. There are companies that sell small drawstring bags that can be personalized with your wedding information. You could fill the bags with chestnuts, acorns, candied walnuts and other seasonal treats. You might even want to include instructions on how to roast the chestnuts.
Thanksgiving Turkey Wine Boxes
A bottle of seasonal wine or sparkling cider placed inside a Thanksgiving Turkey Wine Box would make an excellent wedding favor. The decorative wine boxes are often sold through party supply shops and specialty retailers. One specialty retailer that sells fall wine boxes is Paper Mart. Based on my experience, Paper Mart tends to have the best prices.
Thanksgiving Harvest Candles
In my opinion, Thanksgiving harvest candles also make wonderful Thanksgiving themed wedding favors. In many instances, you can personalize the candle holders with your wedding information for no extra fee. Thanksgiving harvest candles are often sold through specialty stores, craft shops and party supply stores. A dozen personalized candles will tend to lighten your wallet by about $13. Of course you could also buy plain glass candle holders and decorate them yourself with rub on transfers.
Thanksgiving Pie Wedge
Do you want to give your wedding guests an edible Thanksgiving wedding favor? If so, you may want to consider investing in a case of Thanksgiving Turkey Wedge Pie Boxes. The boxes are decorated with a Thanksgiving motif and are designed to hold one wedge of pie. In my experience, a dozen Thanksgiving pie boxes will cost you less than $4. You could fill the boxes with a slice of wedding cake or pie. You may also want to consider personalizing the boxes with a label that has your wedding information printed on it.
Horn of Plenty Floral Arrangement
Last but not least, you may want to think about using horns of plenty as Thanksgiving themed wedding favors. Some folks also refer to them as cornucopias. There are craft stores and wholesalers that sell miniature horn of plenty baskets for less than $2 each. You could opt to fill the baskets with silk, dried or fresh fall flowers like Mums, Toad Lilies, Helenium and Sedum. I’d recommend that you go with a silk or dried floral arrangement. If you do go with such an arrangement, your wedding guests will be able to enjoy it for years to come.
