It was a big night at the world-fashowroom Laugh Factory, in the Tropicana Hotel, with the celebrities arriving to walk across the Red Carpet and enter the showroom.
Their grand opening was exciting with Andrew Dice Clay ( Riviera), George Wallace (Flamingo), the beautiful ladies of “Fantasy” (Luxor), Melody Sweets and Angel Porrino- “Absinthe” (Caesars Palace), Paul Rodriguez (Tropicana), Cheaza- “PEEPSHOW” (Planet Hollywood), the hunks from “Thunder Down Under” (Excalibur), Recycled Percussion (Tropicana), Kyle Massey- “Dancing with the Stars” (Tropicana), Marc Savard (Planet Hollywood), Butch Bradley (“Laugh Factory”), Dimos Greko (Excalibur), Skye Miles (Tropicana), Michael “Wheels” Parise (Riviera), Laura Croft- “Wayne’s World”, Pauly Shore and Miss Nevada Alana Lee.
“America’s Got Talent” Murray Sawchuck walked the Red Carpet with his assistant Chloe and bumbling sidekick Lefty. Murray has recently opened his magical illusions show at the Laugh Factory.
Everyone had time to meet, mingle, and enjoy cocktails before the show.
Laugh Factory co-owners James Masada and Harry Basil greeted the audience and enthusiastically welcomed them to their show. James explained, “The first Laugh Factory was opened 32 years ago with Richard Pryor.
Recently the Tropicana decided that they wanted to bring comedy to their hotel. We liked that idea and said, ‘Let’s go’, then came up with a lot of new ideas.”
Tonight’s headliner Paul Rodriguez had a history with the Laugh Factory thirty one years ago when he started the first Latino night. Paul spoke about his family, “There is something spiritual about your mom, after all that was your first apartment.”

This was a laugh-a-minute evening with “America’s Got Talent’ Dave Burleigh’s impressions and jokes. Each comedian offered their own interpretation of life.
I was amazed to hear that Rosanne Barr, Louie Anderson, Jay Leno, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, Bob Hope, Howie Mandel, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, George Lopez and so many of our other great comedians have performed at the Laugh Factory. Of course there are also new comedians who offer refreshing slants to comedy.
