by pop tug

2011 and 2012 have allowed us to get know a good looking and seemingly new actor: Jeremy Renner. Movies that introduced the majority of us to this mega-hunk include Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, The Avengers and the very recent multi-million dollar flick, The Bourne Legacy. But Renner has been acting for nearly twenty years. Just what types of films did he star in before he landed such high-paying roles? Read on to discover what other movies this up-and-comer has appeared in over the years.

National Lampoon’s Senior Trip

Released in 1995, this film is about a group of high school troublemakers that are sentenced to detention because of various hijinks. The punishment includes a project which requires the teens must use team work in order to write a letter to the President of the United States, stating what they feel are the most major problems in the modern-day education system. Surprisingly, the President adores the letter and invites the slackers to Washington, D.C. as a reward. Thus, the prank-filled the trip begins.

Jeremy Renner plays the hilarious Mark “Dags” D’Agastino.

Fish in a Barrel

Starring a cast of no-namers, Fish in a Barrel is an independently produced criminal comedy. The 2001 release follows a group of gun-wielding maniacs that have just pulled off the heist of a lifetime by stealing millions of dollars worth of jewels. But when the group is confined to a New York City apartment for an extended period of time, it becomes quite obvious that no one intends to split the money evenly.

The crime-loving character of Remy is played by Jeremy Renner.

Monkey Love

Yet another Jeremy Renner flick featuring an unknown cast, Monkey Love was released in 2002. The independently produced romantic comedy is about two young men and a young woman that have been friends since childhood. The college years cause the trio to stray a bit, but when the lady develops romantic feelings for both of her best guy pals, things get trickier than ever.

Jeremy Renner plays the male pal known as Dil Stephanowski.

Dahmer

By far the creepiest on the list of movies Jeremy Renner has appeared in, Dahmer is based on none other than the real-life serial killing cannibal, Jeffrey Dahmer. Also released in 2002, this dark indie film constantly jumps from Dahmer’s childhood to his adult years of raping, killing and eating his victims, giving insight into just what caused this young man to snap.

Jeremy Renner plays Jeffrey Dahmer – and with scary accuracy.
