I love visiting St. Augustine, Florida. In my opinion, it is one of the most scenic coastal cities in Florida. It also has a lot of great campgrounds. Here’s a quick rundown on five of the best ones:
1. Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort
The Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in located on A1A South in St. Augustine. One of the things that make this campground a stand out is its ocean views. It also has level, concrete sites and plenty of amenities. Campers have access to the ocean, a swimming pool, tennis courts, horseshoe pits and a shuffleboard court. A playground and a laundry room are also available. Nightly rates vary, but usually start at $53 for an ocean side campsite. Due to the popularity of this campground, advance reservations are recommended.
2. Ocean Grove RV Resort
The Ocean Grove RV Resort is another superlative campground in the St. Augustine area, especially if you want to stay near the ocean. It is located on the Intracoastal Waterway and less than a 10 minute walk from the ocean. Tent sites, RV sites and park home sites are all available. Nightly rates typically start at $50 for a tent site and $60 for an RV site. Amenities include a swimming pool, a heated Jacuzzi, bicycle rentals, a fishing dock, a kiddie pool and a recreation hall. A basketball court, volleyball court, horseshoe pit and playground are available as well.
3. PepperTree RV Resort
The PepperTree RV Resort is located on A1A South in St. Augustine and it is less than 10 minutes from the ocean. It is a perfect campground for anglers because it features a private, stocked fishing pond as well as access to a beach area suitable for ATV use. Other campground amenities include a swimming pool, library, barbeque grills, shuffleboard courts, a horseshoe pit and a basketball court. Rates vary and advance reservations are strongly recommended.
4. St. Augustine Beach KOA
The St. Augustine Beach KOA is located in Anastasia Island in St. Augustine. It is located less than a mile from the ocean. Onsite amenities include a fishing pond, paddle boat rentals, bike rentals, a swimming pool, and a bocce ball court. Horseshoe pits, barbecue grills, a game room and a playground are also available. Advance reservations may be made online and rates vary depending on the site and date of your visit.

The Stagecoach RV Park is located on County Road 208 in St. Augustine. Campsite rates tend to start at $39 a night and a cancellation policy is typically in effect.
