NASCAR fans headed to the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, may want to bring their RV along. There are several campgrounds located nearby. Here’s a quick rundown on five of the best:
1. Texas Motor Speedway
The speedway has campsites available but they tend to go fast. I’d suggest that if you want to stay onsite that you make your reservations as far in advance as possible. You can make your reservations through the speedway’s ticket office. There are several different sections for camping and prices vary. Information on each section is available on the speedway’s website.
2. Northlake Village RV Park
The Northlake Village RV Park is located on Cleveland Gibbs Road in nearby Roanoke. It is roughly a 5 minute drive from the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. The campground features shaded areas, paved roads, full hook-up sites, free WiFi and a laundry room. Advance reservations are strongly suggested. Nightly rates start at $35 and a minimum length of stay policy is in effect at certain times throughout the year.
3. Fort Worth Midtown RV Park
The Fort Worth Midtown RV Park is located on West 6th Street. It is located approximately 25 minutes from the Texas Motor Speedway and offers full hook-up sites and free WiFi. This campground is also a good choice for folks looking to have easy access to Fort Worth’s most popular tourist attractions. Rates typically start at $39 and advance reservations are recommended.
4. Sunset RV Park
The Sunset RV Park is located roughly 40 minutes from the speedway. The RV Park features large sites, shaded areas, a bathhouse, free WiFi, a laundry room and picnic areas. Tent sites are also available. It is a good place to consider if you want to feel like you are in the country but still have modern conveniences nearby. There are several places close to the park where you can pick up extra food and fuel. Rates start at $25 a night and reservations are recommended.
5. Hooves n Wheels RV Park
The Hooves n Wheels RV Park is located on Granbury Highway in Weatherford. It will take you approximately 50 minutes to get there from the speedway but it’s worth it if you want an idyllic country setting. The campground features pull thru sites, a horse facility, a laundry room, a recreation room and a billiards room. Rates start at $29 a night and a seven day cancellation policy is in effect.
