Are you in the process of planning a vampire themed, Halloween party? If so, you may want to check out my vampire themed party favor suggestions. Here they are:
Supernatural night stalkers need to feed right? So why not help them out by handing out candy blood party favors. Believe it or not, there are candy manufacturers that make candy blood in a variety of forms. Some candy companies, like Candy Warehouse, sell liquid, candy blood that comes in a blood bag. The blood has a distinctive cherry flavor and tends to sell for less than $4 a bag. The company also sells a candy blood spray tube that lights up with a push of a button. I’d suggest using the blood bags at the table as place cards and handing out the spray tubes as party favors.
In my opinion, vampire fangs would make excellent party favors. However, not just any pair of vampire fangs will do. I’d suggest handing out vampire fangs that have built-in bling. Yes, I said bling. Just because vampires can’t cast a reflection, doesn’t mean that they don’t like to step out in style. There are party and theatrical supply companies that sell vampire fangs that have been outfitted with glitter and other adornments. Party City is one such store. Party City sells glitter blood fangs for $6 a pair. The fangs even come with their own coffin shaped storage case. If $6 is too rich for your blood, you could also opt to go with glow-in-the-dark vampire fangs. A case of 72 glow-in-the-dark vampire fangs will tend to cost you less than $6.
Light Up Wine Goblets
Light up wine goblets would undoubtedly make superlative, vampire themed party favors. Glow Source sells light up wine goblets and other funky stemware for less than $4 each. Personally, I think that the red wine goblets and the LED martini glasses with the black bases would go with the vampire theme the best. Of course you could skip the glow-in-the-dark theatrics and go with a traditional gothic goblet. Those, however, typically cost $22 apiece or more.
When it comes to vampire themed chocolates, you have multiple options to choose from. For example, you could create solid, chocolate bats or chocolate lollipops. You could also go with a chocolate coffin, a sugar skull, cordial cherries, a Dracula lollipop or a vampire bat topped pretzel. One place where you can find vampire related candy molds is Sugar Craft. I’d suggest that given all the options, you consider creating an assortment of vampire candies. I especially like the vampire topped pretzels. Wilton makes a kit that allows you to actually mold the candy that goes on top of the pretzel into the shape of a vampire. The mold is part of a holiday pretzel kit that tends to sell for $10 through stores that carry Wilton products.
Black Silk Roses or Lilies
If lady vampires are on your guest list, you may want to consider investing in black silk roses or lilies. Shindigz sells black roses for less than $1 apiece. You can also purchase such flowers through select craft stores and florist supply shops. I’d suggest that you wrap the flowers up in black gauze fabric instead of florist paper because it tends to look better that way. You can generally purchase a yard of black gauze fabric through fabric and craft stores for less than $6.
