Top Five Springtime Reading Picks

by pop tug

Books, whether on an e-reader or actual print, keep us entertained. Either we are learning something
new, travel to new and exotic lands in our minds or are searching for that most perfect romantic love, books have been constants in our lives. These are my top 5 picks for spring of 2012. Grab one or grab all and enjoy!

#5 “How To Shop For Free: Shopping Secrets for Smart Women Who Love to Get Something For Nothing”
by Kathy Spencer and Samatha Rose
Expertly written and amusing at times, Ms. Spencer can teach anyone the art of extreme couponing and will teach you simple tips and tricks to help save you hundreds if not thousands on your grocery bill and how and where to find the best deals. Once you read this book, you will never look at the Sunday paper the same way again. Available in print and Kindle download.

#4 “Insomnia”
by Stephen King
Released in 1994, Insomnia brings to life the character of Ralph Roberts who suffers from a very unusual form of insomnia. Halucinations coupled with strange events draw you in, making you feel as though you are right there beside Ralph, watching the lines between reality and fantasy disappear.
Available in print and Kindle download.
*I have read this book before when it first came out and was immediately captivated within the first page and was unable to put it down.*

#3 “The Lucky One”
by Nicholas Sparks
Imagine seeing a picture of a person and knowing that they held the key to your destiny and your future….even though the two of you have never met. In this romantic tale, one man goes through a perilous journey to find the woman of his dreams; the woman who’s picture he carries as a good luck charm. A true romantic novel, Nicholas Sparks shows us that romance is more than just a mere dream. For those who love the romance novels, this book will definitely not disappoint.

#2 “The Secret”
by Rhonda Byrne
If you have heard and live by the old sayings “I think, therefore I am” or the power of positive thinking, then this book is definitely for you. Ms. Byrne will challenge the way you think by introducing you to others, well-known in our world, who have been proponents of The Secret. Once you start reading this book, you can’t help but feel and think differently about the world around you. This is one that I make sure to pack before anything else when I travel.
Available in print and Kindle download.

#1 “Phantoms”
by Dean Koontz
If a good thriller is what you’re looking for, this is it. Dean Koontz will draw you in, have you on the edge of your seat, and keep you terrified and amused at the same time. His expert writing makes this a wonderful addition to anyone’s reading list. It will make you wonder about the unknown as the even-paced, exquisitely written book keeps you bound to the characters.
Available in print.
