I am writing this to list my top ten shows from the year 2012. There were a lot of great shows and I wanted to share what I thought were the best of 2012.
“American Horror Story”: First season was pretty awesome. The story was amazing. I wouldn’t call it a horror though. I think the creators did a good job of telling a unique story. I like that each season is an entirely different story with the same actors playing different roles. Second season had less of a love story in it, but still had a good story in it too. I like how they look at what happened in the past and what is happening in the present.
“Modern Family”: My favorite comedy show on tv right now. The first season was clever and hilarious. There’s some subtle humor which reminded me of Arrested Development, which is probably my all-time favorite comedy. It’s in its fourth season and going on strong. Doesn’t hurt that a lot of the actresses are pretty hot!
“Supernatural”: An awesome sci-fi show. It seems like it’s been going on forever. The interactions between the brothers is pretty cool and it seems like the storyline keeps getting weirder and crazier, but I still enjoy it. I probably enjoyed the earlier seasons more though.
“Young Justice”: At first it seems like a kid’s cartoon show. It’s not only made for children’s saturday morning cartoons though. I think the storyline is topnotch and it’s nice seeing a change from the heroes in the spotlight like Batman and Superman. You see Robin, Nightwing, Aqua lad, and a lot of the other sidekicks. I recently heard this show was getting canceled, which is a shame.
“Breaking Bad”: Probably the best show on TV. Sadly, it is ending after this season. It was nearly impossible to predict what would happen throughout the season, which made it entertaining and awesome to go through it.
“Walking Dead”: I read the comic, so I was interested when they made the tv show. It doesn’t completely follow the comic, but it adds some nice twists and different characters to surprise me. Probably my second favorite tv show.
“Game of Thrones”: One of the newer tv shows that I enjoy. It’s about to go on its third season. I thought the numerous characters and places would be confusing, but they do a good job of not making it too crazy. I like the tv show so much I may also pick up the books.
“How I Met Your Mother”: A comedy that I thoroughly enjoy. It’s nearing the end of its run and they keep teasing about who the mother is, but they are finally closing up loose ends and hopefully it will be LEGEN-DARY. The Robin and Barney arc finally ended and it was a pretty good. The show was renewed for a ninth and final season.
“Archer”: A mature cartoon full of raunchy jokes and hilarious antics. It has some interesting artwork and I usually laugh a few times each episode, even after multiple views.
“New Girl”: A fairly new comedy about a girl who lives with three other guys. The interactions between the roommates is hilarious.
