Twitter and How Social Media Made History Election 2012

by pop tug

I’m sure like most of you, you were either glued to CNN News or even better these days, to the Social Media. As for me I was busy, busy, busy working for our Americans, America, the Military, Sandy victims, President Obama, President Clinton, and Vice President Joe Biden the final two weeks of Election 2012. I can certainly say that I am so extremely proud of the reaction, team spirit, and togetherness that our citizens of America made on the last days prior and on Election Day! It was hard grueling work and many sleepless hours and days for me, yet very satisfying and well worth every moment of it. We made History folks like never before. I’m so very proud to be an American and even more so for our President of these United States of America!

Tuesday Night we all worked collectively and tirelessly until the late hours ensuring that we fought for our rights and to make sure that President Obama served a second term. I’ve had many journalists, papers, T,V, stations, artists, actors, and regular Americans who worked with me and fought the good fight until we won!

As those who follow me on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace or LinkedIn know, I attained some interesting facts before election about Romney and The Washington Post ordeal. I must say, it was pretty satisfying to be one of the first to post the news on real instant time and it gained me more attention than I thought possible. Anyone who wants to follow me on Twitter can @Thirdeyereopene to get up to date news on political issues.

I’ve found that Social Media is the new Journalism and a powerful one at that! I never dreamed that Mitt Romney would actually copy many of my ideas or slogans, Kind of a compliment, I suppose, since I was on the opposite team, Democrats, Women, and Americans. So, folks, we have many issues ahead, Join me and let the battles begin! I fight for our rights, do you? Congratulations to President Obama, Vice President Biden, my followers, England, and all Americans. Keep speaking your minds. Your voices are heard!

We have a long road ahead of us and it’s going to take patience, time, change, and understanding from Americans as we adapt. But I have full confidence that we can do anything when we put our minds and hearts to it! What once was, has bloomed into what shall be. We’re all headed on a new adventure, a new journey. For many of us, we are afraid of change, Change is inevitable though, as it always has been throughout the history of the world. We’ve lasted this long for a reason and adapted slowly throughout time for just this moment, this place, and with these United States of America and for Americans. So, ride the waves, go with the flow, be proud of how far we’ve finally come and be thankful you are a part of it and you were here to witness it all!
