Soldier Field Offers Premium Facility to Bears’ Fans
Located in the heart of Chicago on Lake Shore Drive, Soldier Field is the home of the Chicago Bears. The stadium offers fans a new facility to watch football in a classic setting. Visitors can enjoy an array of tailgating options before the game along with great food options inside the stadium. View the Soldier Field seating chart for more details.
Soldier Field is the smallest facility in the NFL and was completely rebuilt for the team in 2003. The original stadium opened in 1924. The only structural parts kept from original facility are the classic colonnades on the outside of the stadium. The granite wall that is a memorial to those who served in the armed forces was also kept from the original structure.
Fans can utilize a variety of public transportation options when traveling to the field. The Transportation Center located on Museum Campus Drive and McFedtridge is the drop-off site for all major regional transportation. The CTA, Metra shuttle and Pace bus service all make stops here.
Besides using public transportation to travel to a game, visitors that drive to Soldier Field have the chance to enjoy tailgating in certain parking lots. The surface lots on the Museum Campus and the upper levels of specific parking facilities all allow tailgating before games. In addition, there are some lots that are designated as “Family Friendly” where consuming alcohol is prohibited.
After finishing up in the parking area fans can head to the Bears Ultimate Tailgate. The party is held outside Gate 10 before the first four regular home games. The free party is open to the public and starts two hours before kickoff.
Alumni Bears players, mascot Staley Da Bear and the Chicago bears Drumline all make appearances at the tailgate. Visitors can also participate in interactive games and promotional giveaways. A variety of food samples are provided including items from Dunkin’ Donuts and Outback Steakhouse.
Once inside the stadium, fans can continue the team spirit by joining in singing the Chicago Bear’s official fight song. The crowd sings “Bear Down, Chicago Bears” every time the team scores.
Fans also enjoy a wide range of concession options inside Soldier Field. Favorites include a Chicago Dog, Cuban Style Sandwich, cheese curds and Italian beef sandwich. Visitors with big appetites can try a footlong bratwurst, polish sausage or hot dog with grilled onions. Other options include specialty fries including garlic, chili cheese and sweet potato varieties.
Single game tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster on the Bears’ website. Tickets range in price from $101 to $410 for regular games. There is a limit of four tickets per customer for each game.
Besides regular tickets, fans can try to score tickets for the Miller Lite Party Deck. The area is located at the north endzone and considered one of the most exciting places to watch a game.
Overall, the Chicago Bears offer their fans a premium football experience. The tailgate environment and the food options inside the field combine to make a great day for fans at Soldier Field.
