Not everyone enjoys Christmas shopping. Even if holiday music is playing in the background of the most festively decorated stores, spending an excessive amount of money while fighting crowds does not sound like fun. It can be quite taxing on the mind, body and wallet. Many people would prefer to simplify gift shopping and giving. It is not that the spirit of giving is lacking. On the contrary, people that want to simplify Christmas gift shopping and giving want to give gifts from the heart to family and friends. However, they want to go against tradition.
I do not want to fight crowds of discourteous people while spending a small fortune on presents in the coming months. I have been thinking of ways to simplify Christmas gift shopping and giving this year. I want it to be an open and shut activity. I would rather spend my time baking cookies and crocheting scarves in front of a warm, crackling fire than making my way through crowded store aisles, and I have a shopping and gift giving plan.
Simplify Christmas Shopping at Walgreen’s Gift Card Rack
In an effort to simplify Christmas shopping and giving, I plan on buying most of my gifts from a local Walgreen’s gift card rack. They offer a wide variety of gift cards to suit everyone on my Christmas list. With the exception of my ten year old daughter, I can knock out the entire list in a single shopping trip. Best of all, I will not have to fight the crowds. Most people will be scouring local malls and discount stores for Christmas gifts.
Sadly, many of the presents that are painstakingly chosen for Christmas will end up being returned. My daughter’s father has been a retail manager for decades, and many people that return Christmas gifts do not want another size or color of a particular item. They want cold hard cash. Not only will gift cards simplify my shopping experience, but they will also prevent returns. In addition, I will not have to waste gas while driving from store to store.
